The description of Russian prisons sounds a lot like American prisons. They make it seem as if Russians are savages and we are civilized. I'm sure Russian prisons are horrible but take a look at Rikers Island and you realize we are no better.

Don’t you compare a Ukrainian who was in his home country under Russia’s brutal occupation during Soviet times with no way to escape to this russia- loving US journalist who in his own words “ loved russia” , came from the free world to live and work in russia voluntarily because he thought it would be fun. They never said their goal was to take Kiev. They left the area in late March 2022 as a gesture of good will, seeing that peace talks were underway and they were about to sign documents ending the conflict, but the US and UK told Zelensky to keep fighting or else he wouldn’t get any more support.
