I can relate to this. I dated my best friend for 2 years, but I decided I wanted to go back to being friends cuz the relationship wasnt that good. We were more suited to be friends than couple and we're still best friends. And I remember how badly I wanted to go back to her after the breakup because I felt bad for hurting her and thinking I had made a bad choice. But once I got over the fact we were no longer dating, I could move on. And if I hadn't, I wouldn't have found the amazing Boyfriend I live together with now. When the breakup happened, it felt like I did the wrong choice. It took me weeks just to go over the step on deciding if we should break up or not cuz I was scared to loose her as my best friend. Healing went a bit faster since I had already spent alot of time deciding and feeling bad. She had the same fear so we where good on that front. Still she was hurt ofcourse and I felt bad for hurting her. But looking back on it now, I'm glad I did it. Cuz now I live with my boyfriend and we are more suited to be a couple. We're even planing to get engaged soon. And my she is still my best friend and we can hangout together like the old days just fine. So I understand why Maddie went back to Diggie, but Josh would have been alot better, and if she had just trusted her own feelings and head, she would have realized later that Josh was the right choice.
Why does Disney always make their female characters so weak and always have them go back to the most toxic relationships? Literally no one wanted Maddie to get back with Diggie. Maddie and Josh was just to mature of a relationship for Disney I guess

I hate Diggie SO much. Josh tried explore new things to understand Maddie and what was important to her. He was so sweet to her, never yelled and it was so non-toxic. Diggie, on the other hand, LEFT HER FOR 8 MONTHS, when they got back he didn't ever care to play the sport that was a huge reason they were together and played together all the time before he left, and then goes to tell Maddie out of the blue, "I'm leaving to Australlia!" And yes, it was his dream, but he didn't even handle the situation correctly. He's so different and doesn't even take the time to do anything with Maddie they used to do. When she confronted him about the fact that he was tyring to immedietly leave after leaving her for so long, and said "What about MY feelings? What about us?" he was like "why are you being like this?", said she wasn't being supportive. And during the scene, he was more excited for Australia than trying to stay serious and make sure she understood his thought process, AND HE SHOULD'VE APOLOGIZED! Oh, and once he saw her with another guy, happily without him, he decides to come back. THAT MADE ME SO MAD. He only wants to be committed because he saw a threat, meaning he's a person who doesn't even really like Maddie but doesn't want her to be with someone else, he was so frickin selfish.
Fr, though. I hated how LIV out of all people even supported it. Like girl. Why are you pushing it so hard? At first, I got annoyed at Josh for not trying hard enough to keep her, but then I realized he is just giving her time to process her feelings the way she wants to. He doesn't want to push it aside. I think that's a really big step because if you look at the show, no one really did that for Maddie. They kept pushing her to make a decision right away when she had no idea how she actually felt, and Josh giving her that time to figure that out for herself is just the sweetest thing. And now I understand that, and I'm glad he did what he did. I feel like realistically, if he does that, then Maddie can better decide if the relationship with Diggie is what she actually wants or not. If not, she goes back to Josh after a couple of years to rekindle their relationship. Because now she can process her emotions a little more properly. That's my head Canon. No one can tell me otherwise 😌
Yea honestly. I don't think they did a good job of showing diggie and Maddie were gonna last anyway. They got very toxic to each other every-time they were jealous. And it always seems like diggie wants her to respond quickly without giving her time to process how she's feeling

Her ex boyfriend came rushing back because he saw her happy with someone else and straight up then decided he wanted her back only to ruin that happiness. I was so annoyed when the show writers chose him when the vast popularity chose Josh.
I actually cannot tell you how mad I was when diggie came back. Mosh was so cute, and diggie honestly sucks. He only came back because Maddie moved on. Come on Disney!

Bro when I was a kid The episode where Diggie and Maddie got together confused me SO HARD. Cause I don't understand why suddenly everyone was so invested in them? Why did Liv push it? Didn't she like Josh? Why is she trying to pressure her to chose Diggie? Did I miss a subplot where Liv realize Diggie was better? Why didn't Josh push for her? Why did Artie make it sound like no matter what had happened Maddie would've always ended up with s Diggie? Are the writers teasing us? I mean there was alot on my mind. It felt like they altered the characters just to find a way to get Diggie and Maddie together. Like I swear Liv would never act like that. Yeah she wants Maddie go into a relationship cause thats what Liv also wants but I feel like she wouldn't have done what she did normally if the writers didn't force her to act like that.
I hated diggy. He left maddie then came back just to leave again. Then Josh come along and he's soo damn cute. He's literally the kindest to maddie, does everything for her, and even trys to get over his fear 0f heights for her. Then out of the blue diggy comes back all like maddie I still love you please take me back, I missed you everyday while I was gone. OKAY SO.., if you missed her why didn't you go back to her 1 week or even 2 days after leaving? The only reason you're back is because she is happy with someone else.
