Hi! I'm Jessica! Head Dreamer-upper, Mom, Wife, Professional Photographer, Home Designer, and wannabe Farmer who wishes she could sing like Whitney.
I share videos of my house and DIY projects around the house to give it character, function, and decor!
I have Masters in Architecture and I designed The Century Oak Farmhouse for my own family. When the messages requesting that I sell the floor plans started coming in daily, I decided to go for it. We have more plans in the works which embrace the heart of the design of the original.
Hi, sorry for the late question. I’m currently shopping for a bed and wanted to ask how sturdy this frame is. When you move around or if your partner wakes up, do you notice any noise or movement?
Not at all. The frame doesn’t move/wiggle at all. The adjustable base is actually 2 separate pieces that can incline separately if you want. You could get 2 twin mattresses and one side could be laying down, the other inclined.
hello You have a beautiful home . I noticed you have lights underneath the eves (sp ) my question is , what is the process in how they put them up ??? Do you pick out the color of lights or is it the lights where you have many choices ? Thank you .
Those are just standard Christmas lights that we have hung every year! We do have outlets built into our eaves to reduce the visibility of extensions cords.
When it comes to finding lighting for your space, there are SO many options! How do you make the right choice? An easy way to narrow down your options is to figure out what size fixtures can fit in vour space! We have a formula for finding the right size fixture- be sure to save this Reel for when you pick the light fixtures in your home! To determine the correct DIAMETER of a light fixture: 1. Measure the length and width of the room in feet (ex: 10' by 12') 2. Add the two lengths together. 3. Swap the value of feet for inches (ex: 22 feet becomes 22 inches) 4. This is the ideal diameter for a light fixture in this room. To determine the correct HEIGHT of a light fixture: Measure the height of the room (floor to ceiling) in feet (ex: 10 ft) Multiply the height by 2.5" to 3" per foot (ex: 10 × 2.5" = 25 ft, 10 × 3" = 30 ft) Swap the value of feet to inches (so 25-30 feet becomes 25-30 inches) This is the ideal height range for a light fixture in this room. Once you know the ideal size of a light fixture for a given space, you can narrow down your options significantly! Save this Reel so you can look back at it once you're ready to pick out light fixtures for your build, and follow us for more self-contracting tips!
@@oldbarndesign no! Its the pecan grove, but the floor plan on your website shows all bedrooms on the first floor with an optional bonus upstairs, I wish I could post the photo to show you 🩷
@@jberta3 this is the Pecan Grove. This couple added a bed/bath and office in the bonus room, but there are also 2 bedrooms and a jack and Jill bath on first floor. It’s the same plan, just slightly modified. I also have a video of another pecan grove (reverse) client build while it’s under construction that shows just a bonus room upstairs.
@@jberta3 Yes, all 3 beds are on the first floor on that one. This one has 3 bedrooms on the first floor too, plus the additional one in the bonus room space. If you haven’t already you can see the floor plans on our website oldbarncompany.com/shop/
I love your Christmas decor. It’s not overdone but it adds sweet touches throughout. I especially love your hearts with the names of Christ on them! I’m thinking about how I might incorporate something similar in my decor next year😊. Thank you and have a blessed Christmas!
Puppy poses delightfully. Duster heads as fluffy snow on the tree is a genius idea. Many nice and simple decor ideas anyone can adopt. Donating to help others does ideally come first, I agree. It is why we're here. Thank you for sharing your lovely, lovely home. ❤️
This year I decorated mid November. I live in Texas and the trees are Live oaks. They don't change colors or lose leaves in the fall. Yes, I'm all for enjoying the season a little longer. Merry Christmas.
@@oldbarndesign well, you did a fabulous job and I know you are enjoying it. I had to decorate in OCTOBER this year because our son needed to use our home to video a portion of the church’s yearly Christmas program. Yikes!! We do what we have to do. 🤷🏼♀️
Love your decorations and the airiness of everything. Also love the names of Christ hanging from the mantle. What a great idea. But I don’t care for the jazzy Christmas music. That’s just me I guess. I don’t care for jazz, especially at Christmas. To each his own.
Beautiful home. Love the exposed beams. The woodland theme for Christmas is fantastic. You did a wonderful job. I'll mimic your theme. :-) Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas!
It all looks so beautiful but especially love the store ideas with the different things of Jesus from the Bible❤❤❤ and love Luke versus Xmas pillow ❤❤❤ Great job decorating your absolutely stunning home! Hope you and yours have a very merry Christmas
I'm new to your channel, and I'm so glad I found you. I love all the beautiful Christmas decor, especially the snow effect on your tree. That was such a clever idea. I'll try to find those duster heads. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.❤️🎄
Beautifully done. So white and airy you can take in every festive detail. Adding the names of Jesus to the mantel warms my heart! And the dusters in the tree!? so clever… thanks for the tour
