The story Grant was telling about Beverlee's tenure (as Iris Cory Carrington) on Another World and her storyline with Vicky Windham (Rachel Davis), who was a bit younger than Beverlee (Iris Cory Carrington) but was marrying her father Mac Cory (played by Douglass Watson). The fights between Rachel and Iris were legendary and made Another World the leading soap in the 1970s. Beverlee may have had that conversation with Vicky Windham on Another World, but Vicky was always the class act on and off camera. And yes, as was plotted out in the story line, Rachel Davis Cory won the war against Iris. 9 years later they recast Iris to be the same age as Rachel (and as Beverlee with with GL at that point).
ryanjacks And Carmen Duncan who played Iris was nowhere’s near entertaining or great to watch. Then again “Another World” wasn’t great in the late 80’s and 90’s anyway.
@@ericnelson9100but when Anne heche was playing Vicky and Marley it was great television she was electrifying to watch. It was literally ANNEother World at the point.
Funny you should ask that! Because I went up after the show (I was at the FRONT center table) and asked for the set list! I took a pic of it but RU-vid does not like links. It is on imgur and the specific part of the addy is IzHxv dot jpg :)
@ItzThatOneMatt I can imagine because I have not slept a wink since I drove through that fire with my 5 year old. There was a wall of fire next to the road where I drove to get to the turn off. I prayed to God that there would be no trouble with my car for those few miles I drove next to the fire. It was horrifying. Lucky, Jack has seen so many movies he had no idea how serious it was. I keep worrying the wind will change & Austin will start to burn. That fire is huge!
It would have been REALLY cool to have video from inside the fire (I was there to drive out) but there was NO WAY I was stopping in there! I did snap a picture when I turned back the first time but then I got out of there ASAP! It reminded me of Gone with the Wind -> Atlanta burning. I am praying so hard for those people and I hope you will too. I doubt I will sleep at all tonight after that! WOW!
I took this video today as I drove home from Houston. Unfortunately, my husband did not tell me about this well publicized fire. It had been raging for two days. It did not occur to him I might have to go this way. The detour to Austin took me very close to this fire At first I was so scared I turned back 1 block b4 the detour. But I asked for help and they sent me back. Once I turned right I was OK and out of the fire in 5 minutes. It was very scary to drive TOWARDS the fire like that.
@ellie4cats - I can seriously relate to that. I saw Paul McCartney at the end of July and I took a few short video's with my phone of some of the softer songs like "yesterdays" and a woman next to me would scream like it was "Beatlemania." - so she pretty much ruined all the video that I took.
@PhilFeedback Thanks! There was a guy two people next to me jumping up and down and we were on a platform so I had to stand on my tip toes to keep from bouncing so much! LOL! GREAT show!
