Hello hello! My name is Brianna Michalle & I am a: student nurse, a wife & mother of 2. I currently work as a Monitor Tech in a large hospital, I weight lift 3-4 times a week. I'm a HUGE book nerd, I suck at using lip liner & I am a nap enthusiast.
This channel will focus on my journey through nursing school, days-in-the-life, mini vlogs & study tips.
I've been a LMT in VA for 11 years. I want to go back to school, I want to be successful, I'm scared because it's been so long since I was a student. I have 2 boys and I'm a single mom. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated.
Girl...I got a Stanley for Christmas, I love it but yes it leaks. I bought myself a Coldest Limitless Tumbler. It comes with 3 lids, the straw one, a water bottle sip lid, a pop up straw and a shaker/blender lid for smoothies. They stay cold for twice as long as the Stanley, and the colors and prints are beautiful!! I have the 46oz. It also comes in the 36 oz. Fits in your cupholder, life changing!! Also, fits a Cirkul bottle lid. Love your videos, good luck with nursing, I start my LPN-RN bridge program Monday 😬👩⚕️🩺
Hello 👋 thanks for the tips ! Nice video? Question? Did you use the Saunders book online questions? Meaning the scratch off code thats in the book even though you didn't use the actual book? Im also, studying for my lpn exit but mines is hesi 😢 hope you reply ❤
How do you balance reading the book for nursing and other classes? Because I have to read for like every class (Bio, Chem, Communications, and Nursing) this semester. For Bio (anatomy and physiology) I really just focus on the visuals because the captions tell you what's going on. Plus, the recharges for Connect are helpful to apply my knowledge.
New subbie. I’m trying to ace nursing school this time around. Going back for lpn/ lvn to rn. Thanks! I’m adhd too n get sooo lost. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off last time
Starting my LVN program in August and your video has helped me feel more at ease. Now I feel I have some idea of what i'm about to get myself into lol You shared Lots of good info thank you! Good luck in your programs!
How do you have time for rewrite? 😢I learn by writing but I’m having bad time with time management same as my friends so we just read the guide, highlight and that’s it!
Don’t rewrite everything !! Just the main points. Possibly try to work on your time management as well, it’ll save you in the long run. You got this !!
Thanks so much for posting these videos! I just got accepted in the RN program, Im excited and full of fear! Lol I too have ADD so it's nice to get tips from people who also know the ups and downs of the way our brains work!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! That’s a huge accomplishment & you should be so proud. Totally understandable to be nervous, it’s a huge undertaking but you’re absolutely capable. Yaaaas! Having ADD/ADHD can definitely make things tricky & it’s hard to find your support system if others don’t understand the way we have to do things to really make the info stick in a meaningful way.
im loving your content. i just spent 2 years majoring in psychology and then started watching new amsterdam and decided that i wanted to become an rn. im hoping to apply spring 2024 but i have plenty of time to make sure that this is truly what i want and watching content like yours has done nothing but reassure me that all of the hard work will be worth it. keep working hard girl, i see you! 🩵
Psych was my VERY first “when I grow up” lol We get inspiration in everyday things! If you can, I absolutely recommend trying to work as a Patient Care Tech/Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant prior. Not only will you get immeasurable experience & hands on skills but you’ll get a genuine feel for the nursing world 🤍
Nclex exams won't bother you or be a problem if you work with someone like Mrs Margaret... She's God sent, she saved me from taking the test for the 6th time
Im SO GLAD you mentioned your iPad Air. I start in Sept. and was wondering if I should get the 64GB or 256 GB? I know you mentioned it doesn't have a lot of storage but want to know if you recommend getting the one with more storage?
So really, I think it depends on you as a student. Do you plan to go back through lecture often? Your old notes? Sometimes the BULK of the need-to-know gets lost in the fluff-you end up with PAGES of information when you might only need a paragraph worth of info. Personally, I delete everything. I hate clutter & I would get overwhelmed. Saving all that stuff wasn’t helpful for me: PRACTICE questions is really where it’s at. I use it for the time I need it & then get rid of it. Howeverrr that might be HORRIBLE advice for you as a student. You might excel if you have old notes to look at ! If you’re on the fence, I would advise going with more storage. Better to have more than you need then not enough !
Thanks this was very helpful! I have been an LVN for 14 years and will be starting my RN bridge program in May. I listen to a lot of podcasts and ran across a nursing podcast called Straight A Nursing that I like to listen too when I’m driving. Thanks again for sharing. 🙂
I see all these videos on how their teachers actually lecture them,, but mine?? Mine is there just to get payed and its ovious, makes me so sad because i dnt have that to my advantage , 😭
That’s so unfortunate. It can be very discouraging as well. Nursing is such a broad & complicated subject, the point of being on campus is for additional help. Otherwise you could teach yourself! Learn your learning style & read the “important” things in the textbook
This sound great but how do you find the time and energy? I print all my power points and take notes but I’m so bad a going back and rewriting and solidifying 😢
Time management !! That’s my biggest help. I schedule out & plan out everything. It helps me stay on top of everything I need to get done without forgetting important tasks, appointments for kids etc
This video is a little late but if you can't tell...I'm exhausted. 1 day off in 26 days between school & work plus a family is a hard game man. Excuse the monotone & lots of eye rolling. I turn into a WHOLLLLEE 'nother beast when I'm tired 🤣
Hi everyone ! Getting A's in nursing school is extremely difficult...especially if you have ADHD like me! MY SECRET STUDYING TIPS have been KEY in helping me to do well & not sweat my grades all nursing school. If these helped you, please like & subscribe for more! Let me know if these helped you 🤍
One hour of sleep between ADHD-thoughts, the storm waking up my youngest at 0330, up myself for the gym at 0400...Meant car nap during lunch & another nap the moment I got home Exhausted but worth it.
There's literally nothing you can't do, I'm so happy for you and your accomplishments and all that is to come 💖 While this isn't my career path, I'm the type of person that needs to hear someone talk as I do other tasks, so I'm so excited for your future videos!!
