Letting go a girl like Kim is the worst decision of Jimmy, but at last he earned her respect and protected from howards wife from sueing her. From 7 yrs to 86 just for kim and jimmy itself as well
I just love that you used the "Vengeance" version of The Last of Us theme for the background music for this. It is literally my favorite piece of music from the whole show, and it really perfectly encapsulates Joel and his feelings and his actions during the whole scene of when he's killing the Fireflies in the hospital. The opening theme being in the piece is kind of representative of Joel and Ellie's relationship, but the darkness that's added to the piece is Joel's emotions, he's so filled with rage, the music is just so sad but is also filled with anger. Also, it really shows how sad the scene really is. Joel is a broken man, and everything leading up to this moment has reminded Joel of his failure, and has sparked his fear. Sarah, Tess, failure to protect the people he loves. Henry and Sam, the reminder that failure would probably end up killing him and/or Ellie. And in that scene, Joel is just so filled with rage and sadness, and love. And because he has failed to save the people that he loves, he will do ANYTHING to save Ellie NOW; even if that means that he absolutely massacres the Fireflies.
The first two times Joel held a child in his hands they died. The last time Joel carried Ellie to safety. Ellie is like the unconventional bratty princess who captured the heart of a bitter old man who was dead inside. She’s the light of Joel’s life as well as light of hope for humanity.
God I love the last of us sound track. It just matches the energy of the story perfectly. Pedro does a good Joel, but just the voice and the tone Troy sets is just hard to overcome. Troys Joel is just too hard to beat, he truly plays a hurt father and struggling survivor. You can hear the hurt in everything he says and how he says it. “You do what i say.. when I say it.” Shit gets my attention like he’s talking to me 😂
It's so beautiful 😭❤❤thank you And this literally gave me goosebumps, and I know the last of us hbo will also be amazing cause I watched episode 1,it was brilliant 😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💖I want to thank naughty dog and hbo so much for making an adaptation to my favorite and everyone's most beloved video game 😭❤💖💖💖💖
There is something different about HBOs presentation. I had felt it for so long. And to be honest, its for the worse. I was rewatching the trailer again a few days ago. My father was in the couch next to me watching it too, for the first time. He told me he was left irritaded that all major productions from the last few years always have to do with saving a broken world. Concepts of hope and reperation on an astronomical scale and, it left me thinking. The last of us was never about saving the world. It might have been the plot and goal but, it was never aobut the goal. Rather, the journey. Emotion, compassion and complexity within the caracthers and this world wich needs saving is what makes it so perfect. Its incredible, its larger than itself but i dont feel these themes of fear and sorrow in the way the game told it coming from HBOs adaption. In the end i realized that, if that is the path The series will go by, it wont last long. In the end after hours of thinking i realize that this, is either gonna be the best and most well made video game adaption to ever exist or the worst, there is no inbetween. And i, dont really care about anyone responding to this comment. Trust me, i wont read it. Because i know im right.
Oh the guy that abstracted the soundtrack from the trailer did amazing work and so did you in editing the game footage! Take on me hits so hard every time! This is gonna be one of the most nostalgic songs for a thou fan!❤🎉counting the days for the series and pc version to drop lol
Genuinely was in tears at this trailer. Watching this directly after watching the teaser for the HBO series brought back so many memories of this game. <3
