Fucking great album! It’s a damn shame that it didn’t get the credit that it should have upon its release. Although with the advent of youtube, it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves.

Thank you for posting!!! By any chance do you know where I might be able to download a copy of this album? (For preservation, and maybe in the future, restoration?)
Wow, I grew up in Taylor MI. Ron Stults married my cousin Kay Kay (who was my baby sitter when I was in grade school), which this song is about. Ron loved astronomy, as I did. He use to come over and hang out with me, talking about science and music. It was cool having an older rock and roll cousin.
Don't know who owns the masters of this album, as well as Footnotes, but neither is available on Spotify. Nor is McGuire's album Seeds. Seems odd going to youtube to listen to an album instead of Spotify.
What an incredibly quick musical maturation this group had between Footnotes, and Volume. By adding Keaggy and Omartian, and reprising Been, these guys hit the jackpot. Buck knew what he was doing. Matt is just 17 here, Nelly either 18 or 19.
Part of the sellout series. It seems to me they announced the coming of Giant for a Day with I Bet You Thought We Couldn't Do It, the final track on Missing Piece. I really liked Missing Piece, except that one song. Giant for a Day was definitely a step back. It shifted gears into Civilian, which was a much different feel for the band to me. The fact that they didn't support Giant for a Day with a tour and never played the songs live sorta says something. It is interesting to read the comments and see people hating on the complexity. I am absolutely the opposite. I can't stand listening to radio and elevator music. There is nothing worse in the world than going to a supermarket in Spain where you get the most generic milktoast that seems to require the word 'corazone' in every hook [heart]. I guess people listen to their level of desired complexity.
