hi!! my names izz if you love thrifting and chatting about fashion you'll like it here :---) i post videos every other week, so be sure to subscribe! ok, bye ♡⋆˙
I'm very mad at myself for leaving so many cool pieces behind 😭😭 Right!! The U.S. could never! Although the communal hair brushes were questionable LOL
Btw partner says "gray car" in the beginning. I realized it might sound like something else 😅 ☆Timestamps☆ 0:34 Moment Image 0:39 Punch Drunk Tattoo 1:16 Dongmyo Flea Market 4:23 Myeongdong 5:46 Open Yy 7:10 Plan B Studio 8:20 Made by 9:18 Indigo Nails 9:40 Government Seoul 11:09 Worksout 14:42 Soonsiki Romantique 14:57 Gentle Monster
Omg completely agree with the clutch. It's great to set boundaries with yourself. I am at the point in my life that I love when you just know yourself and know it just ain't gonna work. Fck the trend, go with your intuition. #antihaul
Everyone please note that chainmail pures are antique pieces and they deserve to be treated with care! They are more than 150 years old. And once you get tired of it, resell it but toss it <3
Thanks to Oasis reuniting (got my tickets bruh!!!!), Blur's Coachella show, and Pulp's recent lot of shows, "brit pop" style is expected to make a resurgence. I'm completely here for all of it. When I was 16, I wanted to BE the Gallagher brothers. They're responsible for my Adidas addiction.
My mom got me in spring for my b'day a watch necklace , nothing to special it's a small watch pendant in shape of a old key with a matching long as' chain no idea where it's from tho
a lot of these niches fall under aesthetics like gremlincore/crowcore/cottagecore (not the same thing but similar tones), grunge cottagecore/dark academia. Maximalism is back, and it makes sense that it's drifting towards aesthetics that focus heavily on self customisation (as stores haven't picked up on it as much yet :) ). The aesthetics I described above, they centre around finding/collecting things, different aspects of nature, alternative customisation, and winter layers, dark neutral tones. Some trends you can see coming back are actually in materials used; think about a mishmash of a stereotypical european grandpa's/grandma's closet, and 90's fashion. On one side, canvas, corduroy, denim and leather (watches and buttons, foraging bags - hence the recent messenger bag craze, handmade jewellery, even army jackets/woodland jackets, and textures like plaid, gingham and stripes) and on the other, metallic accents (chainmail, soldoring, think y2k magazines with their crazy 3d-metallic graphics) and boxy silhouettes, tomboys/boyish features with pretty feminine accessorisation, graphic tees and graphic mini-tees (to an extent), etc. Even a couple years ago, when alt fashion, "brat doll" styles and oversize clothing were more in fashion, you could see the kinds of silhouettes I was talking about ^^ Notice, we finally had a more body-positive fashion cycle :) and social media has also finally normalised body types that aren't stick figure thin/male-fantasy curvy. A lot of the inspo in this (actually, even in the creator themselves) there's models of different sizes, and you can see that boxy silhouette that's coming back into fashion :D
I've been into the goofy t-shirts thing too. It motivates me to go out jogging if I can find the biggest, stupidest shirt to do it in. Also found a neon 90s shirt that says "Just Try It", should be great for my job teaching reluctant junior high kids to write essays. 😆
Love that charm bracelets and chainmail are growing in popularity!! I’ve been trying to get into more knight/historical clothing so this is perfect 🤭🤭 Also loving the skirt/pant combo as someone who’s been loving 2000s Japanese fashion ❕❕
I also loveee the watch accessories! The italian charm bracelets are actually quite popular where I live, almost everyone has one of them. I have one too but I felt like the trend was kinda overused and I haven't personalised mine much. This was the first time I saw there are charms you can add your pictures. I will definitely get one of those! Mixing my personal style into little aspects of everything makes me so happy and it also helps with bringing the stuff that I don't really feel like anymore back to life. I recommend it to everyone!
Woo! I’m early! Hi Izz, I’ve really been enjoying your videos! I’m a new subscriber and I’ve been binging all of your videos! Your style is super cute and I love how genuine and down to earth you are! I admire your honesty and you seem like you’d be a great friend! Keep up the great work, Chica!
Sorry i just saw this after your color analysis vid- dont worry about the jeans! The further a peice is from your body, the more you can go against your colors! (And it's a gorgeous fit)
There has been talk on yt that sometimes korean analysts focus more on "overtones", and its indicative in their preference over neutral white light compared to analysts who work in natural lighting, i know that western color analysts are stupid expensive but i wonder how your results would change by method
I’m def annoying like that too where now I don’t want Frye boots either 😂 at least not in that color. Although my one exception is track pants!! They actually fit so well into my personal style so I like them. Love the de-influencing tho! Excited for more in this series
Color analysis determines your undertone. Your make up has to also cater to your overtone/skin tone and that means you may need warmer a foundation. I'm cool/neutral and my foundation has to be grayish to blend into my skin tone the best, not pinkish for cool undertone nor yellowish for warm undertone.
something i saw on tik tok a few years ago was talking about the (for lack of better words) yassification of bass pro shops hats and merch in that many queer people wore it at that time for fashion and it therefore became less of something a certain, perhaps political, group can claim. I think the same thing is happening with the hunting camo. I kind of like when this happens because it almost like democratizes these certain brands that have long been associated with conservative people. idk if that makes sense haha
Hi Izz, I recently discovered your channel and have been binge watching your videos! I love your relatable and genuine approach to your content. You’re completely yourself, relaxed and honest. I truly appreciate and enjoy that. So many RU-vidrs these days are fake in every aspect and your content is so refreshing! I LOVE your style and vibe! Your videos are so relaxing and make me feel like I’m hanging out with a friend! Also, I’ve noticed in several of your videos that you leave certain items behind bc they’re not the color you wanted, don’t forget you can dye them! I recommend researching the fabric type and buying the correct dye for the type of fabric the item is made out of. The linen dress could’ve been dyed to a darker color if that’s what you were wanting. Also the little shoulder purse looks like a Coach bag. So cute! You seem like such a chill person and I would love to be your friend! HMU if you wanna be pals and keep up the great work! 🖤
Hiii you're the absolute sweetest!! So happy to hear that! :*) Thank for the tip!! I'll definitely keep it in mind in the future <33 Ofc hi new friend!!
dude i'm annoying in the same way. as soon as everyone has something i don't want it...unless it's like a very broad trend such as jorts for example which come in tons of styles. but it really prompts me to wait a long time to buy things to make sure they don't become oversaturated. i've always wanted to have a wardrobe that's more unique to me.
one trend that makes me sad i can’t participate in is any tall boots… i am 4’11” and any tall boots i’ve found come up way too high on my legs and it ruins the silhouette :( i deserve moto boots LOL
