I've seen other brands and this bloke hooked up a 12/24 volt dcdc converter non isolated hi power and was getting 500w of charge from the alternator, they plugged it into the solar plug
Got the 2000w inverter, and it is fantastic. If in the future I get an additional (suitable) separate battery set up to power a 3000w inverter, can I set it up the same as I've done the 2000w inverter? i.e. is the electrician only needed for the 3000w inverter if it's getting hardwired to a caravan type set up? There's a video of me getting over excited after setting the inverter up on my RU-vid channel, if you need any clarification to my question. Thanks!
Here is a list of the full specs for you to look at kickassproducts.com.au/products/kickass-kickcharge-2000wh-portable-power-station-for-camping Cheers Craig
Almost bought this product as I really need it but saw the end of the video and luckily I didn't because all my accessories have merit plugs, mainly camp lights. Most 4WD accessories have merit plugs so is there like an adapter for that because no one in the 4wd world uses standard cigarette lighter plugs. It's either merit, Anderson or Usb.
for sure with a 240v charger here is a link kickassproducts.com.au/products/kickass-12v-22amp-9-stage-automatic-smart-battery-charger-for-lead-acid-agm-lithium-batteries?_pos=4&_sid=84bd0874b&_ss=r Cheers Craig
Bluetti just released a DC-DC Charger for their power stations, are you planning in releasing one for yours? Plus how come the smallest unit has an Anderson Plug but the rest don't?
I have a nexpeak smart charger, model NC201 which is a 10amp model. I'm buying a new 200ah renogy agm battery for a PV installation. Would the 10 amp charger work to do an initial charge on the battery before install it?
G'day mate you would have to check that particular chargers output but 10 amps for a 200 a/h battery is going to take a long time i would suggest something like this kickassproducts.com.au/products/kickass-12v-22amp-9-stage-automatic-smart-battery-charger-for-lead-acid-agm-lithium-batteries?_pos=4&_sid=84bd0874b&_ss=r cheers Craig
👏👏👏👏👍👍big ask I know ,but what about one big enough to run the caravan AC . Yes Bluetti makes one but they aren’t Aussie and you won’t get much change out of 6K to run it for only a couple of hours. 🤞🤞hey you blokes are innovators and love a challenge 👁️👁️😎😇🐕🦺❤️🇦🇺
G'day there if you haed over to the website & search the product you have we have all the instructions on line for you Thanks for watching Cheers Craig
only the 500 has an anderson out the others are dc Barrell or cig socket out, except the 2400 hundred has cables that come with it to suit anderson connecters, they do include the cable for solar charging on all of them thanks for watching Cheers Craig
G'day mate, you have to actually look at the input power not the cooking power, the kmart microwave actually uses 1150 watts to cook at 750 watt mate so you would need a 2000watt inverter Thanks for watching Cheers Craig
...and wait for the failures and fustrations before throwing them in the bin. This is not a shot at KA, they just rebaging/reselling like everything/everyone else. Online sales are flooded with these switching units from 4-way all the way up through the common 8-ways and now 12-way units. The controls are fine, they support latching/toggle, momentory and strobe (flashing squence for LED beacons). What sucks is the switching unit. They use cheap MOSFET's for doing the switching but have no protection and Back-EMF kills them in seconds if your lucky, others die slower and can take out your gear as well. Only buy units if they are switching resistive loads only otherwise, look for the units that use relays to switch power.
@@bentheguru4986 the problem are the consumers to be honest. The other thing is that when you purchase stuff from china all the time and rebrand it, that's all you know and you tend to stick to what you know. It takes balls to develop your own stuff.
G'day there we offer a years warranty on them so feel free to give one a go we reckon there pretty cool & have not had any issues during testing & using it ourselves thanks for watching Cheers Craig
I went through three of these that totally stopped working. , two sent back under warranty. Third one I sent back and I didn't make a claim. I hope you sorted out the problem I had using them to charge lithium batteries using my petrol generator.
Sorry to hear about that mate did you touch base with the tech & warranty team, having 3 fail could possibly be a power supply issue here is a link to support page for you supportportal.kickassproducts.com.au/en-GB/articles/battery-chargers-132155 cheers Craig
Could be funny actually lol,im sure you will not encounter any issues but let us know if you set off someones air horns at 5 am Thanks for watching Cheers Craig
Yes loosing the remote would not be fun, maybe put an air tag on it & hopefully don't loose your phone to find your lost remote lol Thanks for watching Cheers Craig
G'day Jordan i reckon you wont have any issue's & if you do come across someone else's unit use your powers for good & not evil lol Thanks for watching appreciate it Cheers Craig
Hi do you have to match the controller with the solar panels, i have 140 watts and i want to upgrade it to 200 watts next year what votronic controller can i buy.... 12v solar 12v leisure batt
Sorry mate i don't understand the question, but if you mean by the size of the solar panels to use as long as you don't go over the amps that the controller can handle if that's what you were asking ? Cheers Craig
we love hearing from lukes mum, thank you lol,he is our very own very special ginger ninja & is an absolute champion will pass on the compliment for him thanks for watching Cheers Craig
G'day shaun,it's unfortunate that we bag out Chinese made gear, when we don't want to pay the price for aussie made stuff,it's a problem created from the consumer wanting cheap pricing We design all our own kickass high tech gear in auz & also have a team over in our own factory with kleaton in china i would love to make a solar panel from aussie made products & labor - no one would pay me the price needed to cover cost's - it's a shame, just like holden cars mate thanks for watching Cheers Craig
