Hi! I missed the trimming time. We just moved back to the south and our home has tons of hydrangeas of every variety. The mop head have such long stems. Can I trim them in the winter? Thank you so Much!!!
Ours here is now about 3 weeks old and it's all those brown stains from metal and from a chlorine shock 5 days after it was done. Here where we are isn't easy to change a 24.000 gallons of water to do a acid wash, so we've been pouring muriatic acid for the last week. The total of acid used up to now is more than 5 gallons. When we try to scrub with the brush, nothing comes off, but if we use a sponge and do it with the hand, it clears most of it. Any suggestion to make this work easier and safer?
Wow that’s a tough experience you went through. It is critical especially during the first winter of a new plaster that you check the Ph of your pool water and adjust if it gets too high. Scaling and staining will happen if the Ph is especially way off. Disappointing that you were not told about winter maintenance/checking that is required.
I need help? lol...I have a lake house with Tando Beech house shake (product) cedar shakes in a color called Hattaras . Our trim is all white.....Im having a hard time figuring out a good color for my door. Can you suggest a SW color?
My mother is 87 years old and we live in Mississippi, she says that another reason to paint them blue is because it keeps birds from nesting and wasp and dirt dobbers out from under your porches. Makes it look like the sky.
Are you still happy with your oyster quartz pool plaster selection? We live in WI and going trying to select our pool plaster color in the next couple weeks.
I live in a subdivision whose "mature trees" is/are part of its appeal, so the bylaws state that we can not cut down any tree over a certain height without approval. We are surrounded by water oaks that have been here since the 80s. During Ida, something like 15% of the homes here got a water oak through the roof. We are due for many more.
I have these faint brown stains on my inground saltpool plaster, despite brushing daily and vacuuming often. Not sure what the stains are. Walls don't have it but floors do. Chemicals are all well balanced. Pool is only 18 months old. Someone please help me with advice.
I'm deciding if going with Cool Blue from Diamond Bright or Aqua Blue from NPT. Hearing the experience in this video, is there something related to Diamond Bright materials that will help me on my decision to go with NPT?
It's not Diamondbrite it was the installers who did a poor job. I've never heard of using a steel brush on the finish. They were supposed to use the acid wash after installing the plaster and that's it...
Is this the same as little lime? I noticed it called it Dwarf LIttle Lime so I want to make sure these aren't two different kinds. I saw a video of where little lime is huge like 5 ft.
I will also use a dollop of urethane (supper tough glue when cured)because I'm mounting a broom rack. I will drill a hole in each brick clip and mount them to the rack. I'll squeeze a few drops out of my caulking gun and clip it to the wall. I suppose I can send a picture later. Thanks for the idea👍. I'm m sure I will be happy with the results. I know how spring steel works, and this is what I want. Never heard of those clips until 10 minutes ago 😌👍 thanks
Can't add weights...I have white sheers. It would pull the rod down. Smh I'm getting white thumb tacks and putting them at the bottom of each panel adhering to the wood deck. It's the only thing that works. Nothing else works. With high winds on a steep hill, save yourself aggravation, just use white hair clips to clip up top directly on rod or a few matching zip ties and thumb tacks. I'm done trying to figure this out.
How heavy is your chain? It seems like it would do some damage if a strong gust of wind came and the chain wasn't heavy enough, and the curtains blew around with the chain in it.
You also don't want it to be too heavy for the rod you put the curtains on. Although I want to try this I have to make sure the whole thing doesn't end up more than 15lbs.
Nicely done. I’ve made multiple fountains. The hardest thing to do is figuring out a tray to fit in the planter and be able to hold the weight of the rocks then hiding the cord.
Great video! For a small driveway with a gravel, should i a use a landscape fabric? And if yes, what type is better? I'm trying to separate my neighbors grass lawn with a nice looking edged gravel landscape. Thanks
Instead of topping it off with water manually, if you have a drip irrigation system you can run a drip line to the pot and put the right size emitter to fill the pot with the appropriate level of water. Where I live summer reaches around 95-105 degrees and I use a 5 gallon emitter for 20 minutes 3 times a week and that’s perfect for the summer time for a container that is approximately 75 gallons and 28” at the opening as an example. You can play with emitter size and duration to dial yours in. Pro Tip- if you have a newer irrigation system most are comparable with a solar sinc sensor which adjusts the duration on all water stations based on temperature and if it rained recently. While this is mainly to conserve water and prevent overwatering sensitive plants it also adjusts the amount of water filling my containers. I have 1 large fountain out front and a few in the backyard with bog plants and fish
