I just got an 81 2nd gen Camaro , im wanting to rip alll of the tbi wiring out, and put a new 350 sbc carbed, was wondering if you knew where the best spot to start would be and or what wiring needs to go? And what can stay!? Obviously Alternator, starter, battery and etc needs to stay..
@@lolife999 you know what, you're right. This truck is a 88 so i thought it was correct but didn't think about the difference between one ton and c1500 having different bodies that year. Good call, total brain fart on my end haha
I have an 87 R10, lowered about 3.5-4" in the front. I retro-fitted the 73-80 inner fenders and while it helped, my tires still hit/rub on surprise bumps. 😕
@@BestDamnShopAround yes when the manufacturer don’t do the job right or his employees don’t I orders stuff from him they where all bent in the wrong places
Assuming this Swap has powersteering, why keep the giant 16 or 17ish looking stering wheel, wouldnt a 15 look better and give you more responsive steering action? Also, i would weld/seal that gas thing in there or some drunk teen could pull it out and piss in there, Roflmao Or just dont park near bars or drunk people
I own this same car, I love her like a girlfriend. I blew the engine a wile back and took the whole front end apart to the frame... without taking pictures or labeling anything. This vid is gonna be an excellent refence. edit: made comment before vid was over, since it isn't running good wanna sell me parts?
Awesome but at the same time kind of sad. Those cars are relatively dry considering they are just sitting out. But up where I'm at they would just be piles of rot.
Missed this years show i am pretty sure will be at next years show. The 3 speed trany is killing me putting in a 700r4 in the fall... Mite have to holla at my cuz chaparro for some help but i should be fine.
Of the trucks you browsed in this video, I think my fave is that stepper at the end. I'm normally into the lowered stuff. But for some reason, that color combo (extra points for the cooler) with those mags just really struck me. Definitely nailed the late 70s off roader vibe.
We built the Obs with the 3 deuce setup on it. Funny he made the tri 5 comment on bc it came out of a 56 nomad wagon that got an ls setup with stack injection. The owner wanted something different for his Obs and I thinks it’s def something you don’t see much. Good to see y’all out there this weekend!
After we installed the link bars to the rear end we raise it up to ride height. Then we installed the bag in a neutral position as far as inflated height versus aired out versus aired up, the upper plates are also contoured to where they're supposed to sit on the frame.
Seat option for bigger fellas. Me being 6'-5" switched mine out of an extended cab seat from a newer Chevy. The seat has a smaller profile so you gain some decent leg room. It's very easy to mount using the stock seat sliders and you also retain the forward tilt. Any of that new seat side action you were displeased with is also hidden by the stock retractable seatbelt setup.
Awesome vid. Answered all questions I had about my build. Only thing I'm concerned about is, will the stock fuel pump keep up with a 375 hp 350 with a 750 carb?
Most of these cars were used for parts to fix even better cars. They made their sacrifice! Enough cars here to combine and still make some nice examples!
