If you want to save a lot of money get the Turbo Creo SL E5. It is about 3 lbs more heavy with the same geometry, motor and more. It is more than $5K less. I love mine and because it has such a great motor 3 lbs is nothing...and the frame is a lot stronger

Hey great video. Noticed one of the riders using the Aeroe rack/bag system... any good? Cheers
@GrantJ
@GrantJ Год назад
Yes I think they're a pretty good system and its a kiwi company which is great! I actually had the front Aeroe handlebar mount/saddle which is pretty simple and worked great. My only gripe is that it slowly works its way down and eventually rubs against your head stem. I would guess most handlebar mounts have a similar issue!
@samuraioodon
@samuraioodon 11 месяцев назад
@@GrantJthe one with rear rack has a lot of sag and it bounces so much. is that because it wasn't cinched down or packed properly (user error) or was it the system itself?

it is actually sold by a Chinese company called Bisek for 900 USD ... I liked the design of this Leopard ebike and could not find anybody selling it in good ole Europe and after years of being on the look out it still ain't nowhere to be found.... sigh
@fabmanly1070
@fabmanly1070 Год назад
Wow that’s typical of everything in this country. $900USD = $1500NZD as of 2023. But they sell it here for $5000NZD. Update: Actually a quick search reveals your incorrect. Alibaba is selling something similar to this for $900USD, but it’s not this bike. The Chetah is sold through retail outlets for around $2500USD, which is equivalent to around $4000NZD.
@michaelcoy8021
@michaelcoy8021 6 месяцев назад
@@fabmanly1070you won’t get them for anywhere near $900 US delivered - well over double that by the time you ad taxes, huge frieght, GST, import fees.

I guess there are many ways to do the BDR's being a life long biker I go with light weight as a priority that eliminates these 4 or 5 hundred pound "trail bikes" I could raise the fender on my Harley put a knobby on the back and have an Adventure bike, I will stick with a 250lb 450cc and a very small pack, that way I can get off the main route and get in to the technical single track which is my preference. Besides it will still run over 100mph, and asphalt is the thing I want to ride on the least.

Just watching this as I lay plans for this summer (2022). I noticed your rental had the Mosko Moto Scout 25 panniers. I purchased a set this spring in anticipation of doing some trips on my 1190 Adv. R and wondering how you liked the setup? I'll be traveling from Washington State (north of Seattle) to Phoenix and back in a couple of weeks, looking to keep it minimalist and off-road. Fun to see your camaraderie... I tend to travel solo, but will hook up with a mate in Salida CO for a few days on my way. Good times.
@GrantJ
@GrantJ 2 года назад
It was the first time I had used them and thought they were great, have used hard panniers before but really like the dry bag style of panniers. Cheers
@Dadventures1190
@Dadventures1190 2 года назад
@@GrantJ Thanks, Grant. I just used them for the first time on a little weekend jaunt to the Olympic Peninsula. They're nice and narrow. Biggest drawback is ease of access... 5 buckles to undo to get into the bag. I've ended up redoing my packing list to keep regularly needed items out of the panniers. Not a big deal, and nice to be intentional about where things are.

Hi Grant, I got my Cheetah about a month ago (750W motor) and I love it. You're dear right about the questions. I went out 2 days and stopped to call my friend.... Me : Hey man ! I'll meet you in front of Sam's in 5 minutes ! Him : OK. I'll be there. That's when Person 1 (post-phone call) stops and asks about the bike - where I bought it, the price, saying how cool it looks etc... This goes on for 2 minutes and they leave. I start preparing to leave again and Person 2 stops in to tell me how nice the design is and asks if it is powered. We have a short discussion on electric bikes and the retro design and he leaves. I'm really antsy and figure I'm going to miss my friend when Person number 3 stops just as I'm getting on the bike.. He says " I just wanted to tell you how cool your bike looks ! " I thank him and head out. I make it to Sam's and call my friend. Luckily, he was running late too. I get comments and questions all the time. At the moment I have the only retro-style ebike in the area that I've seen, but I think that is about to change. Be prepared to be the center of attention when you stop depending on where you live.

Dig the video and enjoy the editing. I am not trying to be hateful, but I really hope you have invested in some proper riding gloves for the street. Those mechanics gloves aren't doing you any favors. You spent all that money for the bike and gear, just spend the money and get some proper slide protection.
