A family of 4 - Fallon (34), David (43), Areona (16) and Marlin (11) living aboard, refitting, renovating, and sailing NØLLA, a 1976 Morgan Out Island 51on a budget.
We sold our house and left our jobs in 2019, to hunt down a cheap sailboat with 3 cabins that we could fix up and sail to the farthest corners of the world. With the purpose to explore, surf, fish, dive, and educate. We homeschool with the intention of raising capable human beings that will do good for our Earth.
Appreciate you posting the tour! Great bones, and now you've ruined it for me. I want a 51' Morgan now! lol! We have a 41' OI Ketch (1972) in the yard in St Marys GA now that we are bringing back to life. Feel free to subscribe and follow, in case we have something that may help y'all out too! Thanks! Yes, still a lot of work to be done. We’ve made some progress since filming in December. Getting the boat back together has taken priority over video editing but hoping to have an update video soon.
Just a little project 😆 and a whole lotta boat! I sent the drive off last week 🙏 what they’re charging me recovers everything so I can share some of the cool places we’ve been.
Hope is a good word. 😆 Fal hopes by February but Dave said that’s unrealistic. If you ask him we won’t be in the water for another 2 years. 🤦♀️ I’m (Fallon) am still shooting for February, that would put us at 1 whole year on the hard). Then, all other work to continue dockside.
Buy new hard drive and a software called Ontrack EasyRecovery (you need to have bad and new hardrive, recovered data will be copied to the new one) - this should help recover the data from ether main or backup drive... disks are not failing competely... if the electronics failed you can replace electronics. If magnetic plates fail Ontrack should help to recover most of the data. The final step is to send the disks to professional company to recover all, but it costs a lot. Try yourself the first steps first. Good luck.
Thank you! I will look into Ontrack, I’ve used wondershare and one other (iBoysoft I think) both were paid licensed programs. Both programs find the files but after I “recover” then they won’t open in their respective programs. I even paid for the license for the wondershare video fixer and it didn’t work either. I may have to mail them off at this point but it’s so expensive and we have A LOT of expensive boat projects that take priority. 😞
@@projectnolla1564 sure understood, the diagnose is for free usually, so you can check with them at least what happened with the drive and than plan next steps. If the file recovered should open normally. Ot may have some corrupted blocks (video especially) but shoild open and hang in empty blocks.
Yes, we totally can! Thank you so much for suggesting that. We’ve be so focused on the areas we are working in I hadn’t thought about a complete walk through.
