Thank Mr. Nile Rodgers on guitar for this masterpiece of a song. There’s a few songs from the 20th Century that will live forever, and this is definitely one of them🤘
When did this become a Barry only song? Three singers sang their souls out on this or are we listening to different songs? It was nothing to do with layering that they did not sing it live. They layered many songs including too much heaven and they sang it live. Maurice himself said they all loved 'Fanny be tender' but they never sang it live because 'it was a b*t*h to sing'!' There was no trickery involved the drops in ranges and sudden rises were real as seen.
You did an amazing job pointing out how this song traveled. Appreciated the silence through the video to enjoy the experience. Well done! The Bee Gees took music to a different level and there is no way to appreciate them as much as they truly deserve to be.
thanks for uploading :)... i'm not a Christian, not a Harmonizer, not a Chorus, not living in the country which uses English... but this song is my most played song myself throughout my entire life.. cuz this is just so unique and pure playing could be done by human's natural talent..... wonderous and charming itself.
Excellent review. I'll echo others here: listening to the entire song allows you to come back and piece the elements together. Many reactors interrupt the flow of the song they are reviewing so much that, it seems to me, first time listeners might be more confused that anything. I appreciate your maturity in your review.
Jelani, you were given a one camera view of this video. This is a much better version and shows much more of Terry during his solo. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7uAUoz7jimg.htmlsi=-gKEHHzjxQzkXJIM
To Jelani Stokes Thanks for your review of cry to me by Precious Wilson. In my humble opinion a very underrated performer and singer. I'm pleased that you said she had a great voice. To hear more of her talent I highly recommend taking a listen to a track on the album "Oceans of Fantasy called " Let it all be music " in which she guest stars with the group BONEY M. Other tracks worth a listen, " I'll be your friend "and "Love Can't Wait " BOTH on an album she did on the jive label. 6:40
I was lucky enough to see Stevie five times in the last 2 years of his life. And one of the things that always amazed me was he played Rhythm and Lead at the same time. Did it consistently.
I loved our break down on one of my alltim favorite childhood songs. I loved the song so much because it was so pretty, but it was ironic that at that time in high school I was crazy in love with this girl named: Fanny! 1976 or so. The Bee Gees were my band because of Jive Talking and their beautiful ballads. I loved them until they became everyone's favorite after Saturday Night Live. Then I kind of moved on. LOL! You should do a bass cover of one of their songs.
OK man, you did Karen good. Thank you. I wasn't her friend or a family member, I was simply a fan. I was 27 when she died. And like many other fans, I feel a strange..., brother vibe? Like I want to protect her. At least what's left, her memory. Sure she doesn't need my help but hey, feeling. It is what it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jelani, I appreciate your reaction. However, but you seem to keep them in the 70s and they disappeared. Well I hate to disappoint you, the went on to write #1 hits for many people. They came back in 1987 with amazing sound. Living Eyes wasn't the only album. ESP, HIGH CIVILIZATION, SIZE ISN'T EVERYTHING, THIS IS WHERE I CAME IN. STILL WATERS. ONE OF THE BEST SONGS FROM THE LATE 80S AND 90S IS BODYGUARD AND FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS. THEY HAD TOP TEN SINGLES IN 5 DECADES IN THE UK ALONE YOU REALLY NEED TO DO MORE RESEARCH. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BANDS IN HISTORY. THE 5TH TOP SELLING BAND IN MUSIC HISTORY. PLUS THE ONLY SONG WRITER TO HAVE 5 NUMBER 1 HITS IN THE TOP 5 AT THE SAME TIME.
This may sound strange, but as a drummer I watch Stevie Ray Vaughan for ideas on how to play my own instrument better. His sense of time is so locked in and solid, it takes a LOT of discipline to play like that. I wish more guitarists would work on that.
I'm going to learn this sand see if I can dear fucking sing it on open mic. I could be mistaken but this is one of the songs that everyone had their own particular park.
