Thanks for pointing that out! Most of my experience has been Arena, Commander, and Modern from 2015-2020 (Covid ended that reign) so I honestly wasn’t aware they were reprints. But it’s cool they’re taking elves to the next level in arena!
@@lostfrostbite yup…urza for the priest and scourge for the symbiote. Been around a very long time. Fortunately these reprints make them a little cheaper and easier to play in cardboard. Also match 2 you could have kept going if you would have used symbiote to untap the priesty and played it out.

so in the nuzlockes i've seen people release their pokemon after they faint but thats in saves they won't even play after the nuzlocke, i think it's fine to just keep them separate. and for who to add to add to the party, i think kadabra would be good if you can evolve him but i also don't remember what level is considered best to evolve it.
I’ve been using the rule of one Pokémon per distinct area. Originally I was going to also equate that with my gym badges. So for example at 2 badges I could catch 2 Pokémon from different areas in the underground but I decided against it just because it seemed a little complicated.

Id love (no joke) to see how hour 100% winrate dors against golgari midrange/jeskai and izzet control cause im very curious how u make merfolk win against those tier 1 decks (I mean, consistently, not on a lucky vs bad hand and card drawing)
Lol i explain the title in the first 5 minutes I’m pretty sure 😂 i re-recorded this soooo many times so it might not of made it into this one. It’s just a title that’s semi true and it helps with getting the content out there like if you look at other videos on my channel. But yeah this definitely isn’t a tier 1 deck just a budget one for people starting in mtgarena or for those who want a cheap deck that will be fun!
Hi, so I watched all the video and.. I gotta say merfolk is as bad as its good. To be clear, I managed to reach the gold rank and Dec there start to be top tier 1\2, aka rdw/jeskai control\midrange golgari and izzet.Merfolk is my favorite deck ever and, It hurts my feelings to say that but, tropical merfolk in the actual meta struggle too much vs those decks that we definitely (for comp playing I mean) have to either switch to mono blue merfolk tempo OR adapt our tropical setup to face those control decks better. Which means, bringing Kopala, Shaper's Sanctuary, Swift Warden and some Blossoming Defense alternatives such as Dive Down. But also think of cards that would usually lower our clock/aggro like deeproot waters and jungleborn pioneer, along with some [maybe?] counters. And on top of that taking in consideration that we can't deal with all these flying drakes\phoenixes, so some crushing canopy\plummet and\or pierce the sky are really needed.With all that being said what our merfolk tribal deck would looks like ? A tempo midrange deck with no real removal?I managed to get some wins by incorporating Kopala\Shaper\Dive Dowm and Spell Pierce and Swift Warden, didn't test waters and jungleborn (in this top tier meta) and I barely reached tier 2gold...pretty much any combination of merfolk is op for bronze and silver anyway so I'm only speaking for the top tier metaI'd like to know your opinion on that, ty bud for your content ! I definitely agree with you. Tropical merfolk is pretty weak especially the deck I have made. Where the only decks I have a chance against are slow or none flying decks. I definitely have debated most of the cards you’ve mentioned and when I do want to play more competitively I’ll end up testing it out some more. The deck in its state right now is for people who want a decent deck that just started mtgarena. With the whip I had no cards and wasn’t encouraged to play till now. So I gotta work my way back up lol. So this is just budget for now. I do have another merfolk video coming out in a day or two with really good matches. But anyways back to merfolk, for the most part on my deck I do notice I need more counters but I want a balance between having a fun board state of 1000 merfolk and the ability to not die to flying. Thank you for your feed back I currently am not at my computer so I couldn’t really look into what cards I had and could potentially add. But of course when I can I’ll take a look and of course credit you. I still need too look into the reddit post as well.
