Mr. FGA, Your lessons are super valuable. I just had this one pull into my feed today and I'm glad it did. Within the last 6 weeks or so, you did an excellent video on E chord embellishments and turnarounds. I've come up with my own 12 bar arrangement with an original set of lyrics, that would not have been possible without your teaching. It dovetails with this lesson very nicely. Thank you for what you do sir!
your channel is amazing😂.. have writen down alot today.. but.. i cannot play like you that easy i found out that ypu can hold your fingers the same and just play like that while i have to change positions every other note again and again.. but if you know how it has tk he done it is not needed like you dont do that😂.. and looks easy.but i cant do that.. also i hsve thumbpick.. but i did it off i cant use that thing man.... frustrated from that pick i better then with my fingers also i ordered silicon things for my fingers (i think i hate them and not use it) but was hoping that my fingers can heal a bit.. it is reallt bad at the moment..not like i see with others a bit in the beginning.. that was going away around week 5.. but now week 15.. its way worse and it doesnt go away, get worser everg day.. but i cant stop playing few hours.. so a whole day not playing is impossible .. i do maybe 8 hours a day😅(i bet its maybe more)
RL BURNSIDE,,,, AT THE CROSSROADS, AT MIDNIGHT: WELL, WELL, WELL,,,,,,Hey satan, ol' boy, how y'all, like my goin' down souff, riff'n? SATAN,,,,dropping, to his knees,,,,,,,, MASTER!!!!😎
thank you man, just a little feedback from here. you could show the pattern without delay just to learn quicker. It takes a lot of time figuring out what you doing. It's a little bit messy. But thank you anyway, I really appreciate it.
Rev. Gary Davis was the king of what used to be called 'Carny guitar' a cross of blues, gospel and ragtime popular in the 30s and then again in the 60s because of the folk music revival. He came to my attention through Roy Bookbinder (also worth looking into) when I was a budding teenager. It's a style I have loved all my adult life, so thank you. Maybe Pink Anderson's 'Travelin Man' next? Doc Watson's or Roy Bookbinder's would be great!
@@FeedbackGuitarAcademy NO, thank you - I wish I could afford to take private lessons - funding is an issue - sorry - even if I had the funds , most channels are interesting but dont grab me - not enough to consider patreon or membership - however, yours is an exception - when I have funds - a different story . I love your enthusiasm, teaching style and musicianship for the subject matter you cover --- which is right up my street . Excellent. My go to channel.
Yea- scales can go on and on forever. I just wanted to show 2 patterns that I think are helpful for beginners and try to keep it short. I dont want people to overdo it with practicing scales though. There's better things to practice IMO.
In the Black Keys version, it sounds like he plucks to a drone G from time to time. Excuse my lack of musical lingo... Like this: A-A-A-A-A-A-A-G, A-A-A-A-A-A-A-G. I could only acomplish this in standard tuning by plaing it down at the nut. Of course, I don't hear to well, so this could all be a delusion of mine.
Im just using Guitar Rig software if I remember correctly. I also used a fulltone octafuzz on the fuzz setting. I think I go through the settings at the end of one of the Junior Kimbrough lessons like this one but I cant remember which one it was. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Im glad you liked it! These are black mountain picks. Not sure about the gauge but Id recommend trying out the variety pack that has like 4 different variations.
I am constantly looking to level up my exercises and get the most out of them: technique, fret board comfort, theory, etc. These exercise suggestions do all that for me. Thank you so much! Can't wait to get started incorporating these ideas in my practice. (Already doing a version of 1 with hammer on and pull offs.)
EXCELLENT HOW-TO VIDEO. I just now gave you a thumbs up and subscribed too. I am a entry level Blues junky and love the way you teach - easy to follow along and learn!! Thank you!!
You advice about how to use the thumb is invaluable. A picking pattern for a rhumba-type tune I have been messing up for ages has suddenly been magically improved. How could this apply to hybrid picking (pick instead of thumb)?
Keeping people playing is the best option! Better having some guitar tec boring bods telling you! Hey thats wrong!! Guitar stays in cupboard for the next 10 years.
