Just documenting the conversion of my Fiat Ducato into an off grid camper, and hopefully the trips that follow, If anybody wants to offer any products for me to review that could help with my journey and progression of the channel just hite up in the comments or shoot me an email and let's work together, Also I'm not really Nasty 👍
great post , my 2 kw pumps hard even before the glow plug is hot enough and floods the chamber , (i can hear it clicking about 3 or 4 times a second) , pretty sure the start up sequence is forked , settles back to 2 pumps a second after about 2 minutes . new HZ adjustable circuit and controller on the way .
Thanks for making this video. I recently installed the exact same awning and was unpleasantly surprised by that rattling noise. Weird that this is not sorted out by Fiamma themselves, but I'm going to fix it the same way as you did.
I have the factory fitted side opening blinds. Could you please tell me if this product gives the driver more of the windscreen to look through. Like most, I find that the standard blind frame obscures from the top.
I just purchased them off eBay but I believe there's a company also doing a full length running boards that go from the front to the rear wheel arch the fit the van in the same way as these small side steps
If you put the blind in the fully open position and the two pieces of cord which are either side of the blind there is a small steel clip on the top with the screw in it loosen the screw and move the steel clip down the cord slightly and then reattach the cord to the top of the frame and then try closing your blind to see if it's just picked up the slack it's a bit of trial and error but that should sort it out
I had this issue till i used the high altitude setting, lol im at sea level but this setting fixed my over fueling issue and i havnt had an issue in months, before i found this setting is was ready to throw out my heater because i was forced to rebuild and clean it every week
Once it started up it would run great it was just that basically because the seal in the pump had worn it was soaking the diesel into the burn chamber so obviously once it started up it was causing excessive smoke, it was also leaking out of the burn chamber running down the exhaust in staining all my driveway
You can make it yourself using 2 pieces of steel strip and a bit of steel tubing, if it's dry the weekend I'll upload a short video and show you what I've done
You have to take the mounting bracket off and turn it over , and the original brackets will fit on the gearbox using one of the holes and then you just make the extension pieces to fit and one of the other holes, but instead of using three bolts you only used two
I would of had to wait for a slot as he will only do it at your house if he has at least 3 jobs on the day along the route, so I went to him , I messaged him on the Saturday afternoon and went down there on the Sunday morning the following day, so it was worth it for me also it gave my van a good run
@@nasty.nick.pmake sure of your airflow into and out of the burn chamber, my exhaust had a 1/16 of carbon lining it " no way it was blocked" but it reduced the airflow, and white smoked like a fog machine
Hi Nick Well she sure is lovely Few questions for you 1) Can the solar be upgraded to a larger amount and also the battery? 2) What's the capacity for both The Fresh Water and also The Grey Water also what's the size of the Gas bottle? 3) What amount of MOT has she got? 4) What is the cost of Road Tax 5) Most important of all the COST? 6) Does she come with all paperwork which includes books on cooker etc? Also I assume she (and you of course) are available to be looked at and admired (I say admired because she sure looks very good and lovely too) I look forward to hearing back from you Many Thanks Lisa Thompson
Ok a few answers, solar is 600 watts, batteries are 300amps of lithium, you can add more but you shouldn't have to, gas is under slung at 26 litres, fresh water is 86 litres and 65 litres of grey ,MOT till 30/03/24 ,tax is £165 for 12 months , and all manuals for gas appliances are present, and the main one is the price is £45,000
I've been looking for this video for the better part of two days my friend was interested in getting a van he lives in the UK, even if this one isn't still for sale he may be interested in buying one from you because it was so well built
The subframe spacers are about 1 inch and the spices under the steering rack are about ¼ of an inch, as for the bolts they are the same size just longer, you would be better off contacting Mule vans as they are making and supplying the kits now
A non return valve stops the fuel flowing back in to the tank, so it wouldn't stop the syphoning effect, a fuel isolation switch would work but it's easier to change the pump
I have two questions number one you didn't mention if it has solar and why are you selling it it's an exceptionally good rig one of the best I've ever seen?
Sorry mate I didn't realise that, I have 600 watts of solar, and I'm selling it to fund a new project ,I've got my eye on a couple of larger vans and just wanted to see if I could build something a bit different
Hi, I've looked on your other videos and can't see what you've done on the inside of the shower to cover the fans. Did you install a simple plastic grill or something else?
Sorry mate I should have done an update on the shower, but yes I covered the hole with a small plastic grill purchased from a local DIY store and bonded into place over the hole
The light brackets were off eBay, just search camper van/ motorhome bonnet light bracket, and if you go on Ali express and search 8 gang RGB switch panel, then just scroll down past the Auxbeam ones, and then you'll find the one that I purchased
Hi, could you please tell me what the maxi chassis suspension actually looks like compared to the normal chassis ? I have ordered a maxi chassis on my vehicle and i just want to know what i am looking for underneath the vehicle when i get it. I have paid about £500 extra for it so just making sure. Thanks Best regards Steve.
@@kirky1298 how much do they charge you for your kit, as he quoted me £2000, to supply and install, as I'm thinking of selling this van and building another one
@@nasty.nick.p I've not had a quote yet. I've lifted the front of mine with camper springs, bilstein b6 camper advanced struts and a 40mm lift kit but I need to drop the subframe for steering geometry. I can source all the bushes and bolts for around £90, the only issue is the gearbox mounting. He quoted £1000 for the rear axle plates though 😱
Great video. One quick question... At the 5:49 mark you are talking about how you drop the water pipe into your tank. What is the little device that is on the end of the water pipe?
Hi nick did you buy your lift kit directly from them or can they send you everything out to fit yourself van looks great i have a boxer and im eager to lift it
