I was struggling with this fight as once he had ascended, he is impossible to push off the stairwell. I cast daylight on the coffin and it aggro'd him but he still took a load of damage each turn and I finished him off with 2 characters using the Eldritch blast
The fuck are you even doing? There's zero explanation or even typing on the screen indicating what in the sandwich fuck you are even doing, and then he just dies.
Oh i put daylight on my main and used heroes feast from shadowheart to be immune to the poison stuff on the other enemies. The two spells in tandem completely trivialized the fight.
I just went there. The game cheated so hard. One shot all my companions. Then it just froze me and sent 30 enemies to me. After it kept skipping my turn he just did the ritual. That was the worst thing ive ever seen. Such terrible game design. Wow.
Last patch fixed this cheese Fixed harmful conditions on the vampire spawn ticking down in real time during Cazador's ritual. They now tick down once per combat turn.
I just did it the same way and came here if someone else posted it. It only works if you target the sarcophagus. When he was almost dead, made Astarion sneak in and finish him off with a sneak attack just for good measure.
This fight was giving me a lot of trouble. But when I replaced Astarion with Jaheira and had her use daylight it made the fight so much easier! I got Astarion back into my party afterwards and brought him with me to open the coffin so that he could enact his revenge. And I learned that bringing Shadowheart into the battle is a bad idea thanks to her fear of wolves.
Thanks. This still works. On PS5. I used Shadowheart. You can change her skills without having to go to camp and she had it in her skill options. I had to choose the level 3 version of the spell. At first I used her level 5 but it was too big to only hit the casket. You just want to hit the casket and stay hidden.
I thought of this right away but for some reason it won’t let me. Tells me that that path is interrupted when it definitely isn’t. Just won’t let me say to to drop him off the edge. I was really disappointed.
And here I am confronting Cazador alone as Astarion, by tossing a barrel containing a cursed child to the middle of the platform, killing the rest of the enemies, drinking several potion of invisibilities and finally shoving Cazador off the platform....
@@martiniindustries there are so many fun things about this game i wanna tell my SO but it would require so much backstory and explanation that the charm/humor would inevitably get lost.
@@merhades1105 for real! Hey babe, I want to explain this meme to you, but first you have to spend your next 200hr of free time getting up to speed on the backstory...
My next plan is to loot the firework store for a bunch of explosive barrels, stealth in and place them next to him, shoot them with an exploding arrow from far away and hope that he dies immediately.
You can beat him by keeping Astarion at the back. Use any aoe that inflicts slow or difficult terrain, or damage to deal with the mobs that attack you. He is actually quite easy to defeat so long as Asterion is far enough away to avoid initiating the confrontation cut scene.
Honestly I went into this fight the regular way: chose to keep Astarion in my party for dramatic effect and had a Monk Tav, SH, and Karlach with me, and I meant to play out the fight using unga bunga Karlach, with a bit of some Danse Macabre Astarion for the spice, intending to finesse a little using some SH as well. What I did NOT expect, was Cazadors 220 + 60/60 HP, Shar's blessings on his soul, to use his blink to step onto the EDGE of his platform, only to die to the knockback created by, and you aren't gonna believe this: Holy water. And because he went back to his casket...you don't miss out on his loot unlike a regular chasm death
I did a sneak attack with Astarion and if you knock Cazador out fast enough with a 5 turn assault from lae zel he goes into his coffin and hides for the rest of the battle.
Weird, only works if you enchant the casket, if you just use a sphere right next to him he heals the damage just as fast as he takes it and it barely dents his health
This video was awesome and so helpful! I was getting so worried when your bombs were getting low. Now I'm about to make a bunch of pumpkin soup for my next skull cavern trip. Great video!
