2029 will mark 30 years since the movies release. So many of the actors didnt make to the 10th and the 20th . I hope the remaining actors make it to the 30th😢.
Now long gone is one of the most deeply touching pieces of music ever in my opinion. Yes it coincides with some of the most visually stunning frames in film history (Paul walking the mile and then it blending into the nursing home and him being older, in bed next to Jens photo and then that heart wrenching panning shot to lonely old Mr Jingles) but this small section perfectly captures Paul's dilemma. The fear of the future, the pain of love ones long gone, how his situation puts him in a state of rumination, and the constant inability to comprehend his fate. He is left only with a desperate and pitiful indirect plea to God. Like the biblical Job it is hoped that God will reward Paul's faith and Good hearted nature.
They will go home like everyone else and I will have to stay . I will long for death long before it crosses my path, if I'm honest I'm already longing for it now. I think of all the people I loved,who are long go now. I think of my beautiful Janne and how I lost her many years ago. One thought,however, gives me more sleepness nights. If he could give a mouse such a long life,how much longer do I have? There was a weird period in the 90s where the south was getting a lot of movies made about em. I mean, o brother where art thou, This, Fried green tomatoes, And of course forest gump too All generally have the same feel. Fucking sad. Damn.
This gives me chills and makes me tear up at the same time....that's how you know it's good music, when it causes such reactions inside and out....simply beautiful 💕
