A HUGE THANKS for your amazing work. I succeeded in flashing some new waveforms in my Shapeshifter useing your scripts ! Not a programmer myself either but it's not that complicated in the end. I'll try do make a tutorial to do it on Windows
@@Tsarpf the hardest part was getting the correct VM to run Quartus Programmer on the Mac, al together this took me at least a whole day, haha. anyway, worth it! ru-vid.comgqkZUcDlSBM?si=iVrTmKuQgEPT4ahF

@@drakeredwind0138 Right! I should've put it in this video's description as well! I only put it in the other video on my channel. Anyway here you go: github.com/Tsarpf/UE4-Procedural-Audio
That was awesome. Loved it. I have a bunch of Elektron stuff, and i can't take my eyes off the Octatrack - this is an excellent set - loving it (especially that beat -5:50 - onwards)
@@Tsarpf Yeah, i really do like that track there..it really kicks! - do more like that and post them here............. There are a couple of pops and crackles in there around the 8min mark - I'm interested what caused that - recording glitch, or just a mis-timed sample start point? - or something else? - did you hear that when performing live?
@@sonicneutronic Yeah it was audible unfortunately and the same bug happens at the end of the set, but there it doesn't crackle as bad, just adds an "extra beat" . In both cases I had set up a recording trig for the whole track in the previous pattern, and when jumping to the next pattern set up to play the recording, every time the recording loops, it crackles. I guess the recording's tempo gets set wrong or something, and it ends too late / too soon. It of course happened for the first time at the gig and never while practicing. I probably messed up some setting while preparing the Octatrack for the gig, never went back to figure which one though :/ And yeah! I should do more stuff like that one, will upload when I manage to do that. Should finish more stuff instead of just hoarding new gear, like I've done lately, like the Digitone I got just a few days ago...
Excellent thanks for the info. Post more for sure. Will be watching. Digitone is great!! I’m sure I’ll grab Octatrack in the coming weeks....doesn't always need to be finished, I also like the workflow vids.
Yeah I agree it is a bit boring, but that's what came out. Hopefully in the future I'm able to get more changes in there on the fly as I improve in using the machine.
Tsarpf ok, I‘m sorry for my comment. You are right - don‘t give up - it is a nice machine 😃. Have fun with it - thats it, what we make music for - fun !!
Also mkII owner. I encounter freezes all the time. Quite common but not everybody does have this problem. www.elektronauts.com/t/octatrack-mkii-mk2-2nd-gen-specific-bugs-thread Device is great, but I need wait for an update and hopefully these issues will be fixed !
More specific thread here www.elektronauts.com/t/octatrack-mkii-issue-discovered . This seems to be an internal midi problem. But Elektron claims its a software bug an they will manage to fix it with a firmware udpate...
I have a vague memory of it maybe freezing on me once, but I didn't lose any work so I just shrugged it off. But no repeated crashing or any other bugs that would've annoyed me with the OT so far. Reading the forums about it makes me anxious though, gotta start saving the whole project often :S
