Hi! Do you know why when I change from Bump to Displacement and Bump, my waffle instead of looking like yours, separates into parts? If I reduce the Scale value of the Displacement node to 0 they join together but I think that this would not have the desired effect. I have the subdivision modifier and all the nodes exactly like you, I also have cycles active, I think I have not left anything out Btw, i forgot to say that im using Blender 4.2 and since some nodes changed i had to use noise instead of musgrave and idk if sth else, maybe this is why, i have try applying all trasnforms, scale, etc, have try unwrapping UV and checking normals and nothing :(

Thanks for this video, but I try to create a fence, so my rotation is impossible, I follow your instructions on Udemy Course, and I have the same problem, I completely lost, I can create a chain but a bout a fence, it's impossible, why no idea, Can you create a video on your RU-vid chanel to explain the problem about the rotation,

Well if you want to just make the track you can just do the track portion of the tut and draw a track. Then if you want to import to a game engine, just apply the geometry nodes modifier

New to Blender and, as I've said before, love your courses, Alex. Starting to get the hang of sculpting and retopology, but when I see vids like this I can't even imagine how to approach all of those complex settings. Do you have a course that dives into understanding all of that? Thank you and all the best!

damnn, was i just lucky or does it always have 85% discount? i spend 45 instead of 250 for 3 courses, u my man r amazing and in case i can turn this into a career ill pay the full price later 100%!
it's always on discount because he keeps making new courses instead of fixing how godawful the current ones are. he basically abandoned his channel 4years ago and fell off. nobody is willing to pay full price to sit through 50hours of something that wouldnt even have made a decent livestream and thats just this course, nevermind the 2 others you mentioned or the 4 more he is trying to cash in on. for a "business owner" and artist, while he has no time to produce a quality course, he has plenty to chase up and argue with every review that calls out his inability to teach xD his personal website? dead, his socials? empty. just another person who decided he could grift off people having lots of free time during all the covid lockdowns and layoffs.

As a brit you're just telling me my language is down to earth, not really what you intended I suppose but I'll take the compliment 😂 Like many have commented on his course before, I didn't spend anything on this course. Free access is given to anyone whose company offers udemy courses as part of their work benefits. I didn't lose anything that would give me a negative attitude, I raised valid criticism so he could Improve the course for others and he just ignored everyone because it bruised his ego. I'm also not the only person saying the same thing. Alex doesn't know how to use the geometry nodes so made a course that's now over 50hours of wordvomit that's just a voice over of what the documentation can explain. He could have done much better work in 10hours based on the content he produced 4years ago if he was really invested in doing so. Udemy is also public of how their stats work. Course has 8000students? 3 or so videos in udemy asks for a 'review' there's only 800reviews. 90% of people didn't even start the course, of those who did udemy says that for a typical length complete course only 30% complete. Those are courses that top out at around 12hours for the most detailed and structured content. For a course like this, it would be impressive if the completion was even 5%. All those 5star reviews praising the course are done off the back of not even the first 30minutes of material and people who complete far more than that are raising issues and being told 'I have thousands of students, sorry this wasn't for you apparently' completely avoiding to even address the issues. And apparently 'interactive course' means that when something is not understandable we have to reach out in DMs individually? My background is a family in education, and I work and socialise with working professionals in this field. Even a bad course can prove beneficial for certain things if it's structured as one, this isn't one of those cases. If you haven't seen better material for learning geonodes, I can only assume you haven't really looked and this was one of the first things to enter your timeline. Theres so much better material for free on YT from channels who specialise in teaching this to others, at no cost.
Love it, but it's giving me an error when I animate it. Sometimes the cube appears in one of the frames or my object disappears when it shouldn't. Weird, it only happens in some frames, let's see If i figure it out.
Hey Alex, I just wanted to give you props. Before I found your channel, I never even thought about touching material nodes in Blender. But now, I'm hooked! I can't wait to dive into geometry nodes too. Thanks for being such an awesome teacher.
