The song sounds like it describes me, my mother whose mind body and soul I like to protect and myself. I understand if I've seen it all, my mother does not have to. I guess that's why I know it all but remember I too like to be happy and deserve to be honored. My father does not exist to just exist but he partially does exist to be just but also to be honored. Much of what I've done and accomplished is too honor my mother and to one day hopefully marry a female like her.
Strangely, I suddenly want to put on Adam Ant makeup and hula hoop myself across Denmark on the winter's solstice, guided by the voice of Bjork's tone deaf cousin, Gert.... Is that wrong to do or, just to admit to wanting to do?
Karin really made something very unique from this song with her very own style. The original folk song by Vashti Bunyan has this nordic (or more medieval) feeling into it already.
