Nothing like a lobstering excursion. I went out each summer with my uncle Robert Williams of Stonington Maine. Still have a scar on my hand from when I did what he told me not to…put my hand near the small claw. I was between 8 and 10 years old then.
Lovely video! I recently took footage of Black-billed Cuckoo in NYC and in need of help figuring out if it is a juvenile (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--z6zqR8WGPk.html) Yours seems to have a different ringlet color. What do others here think? Sincerely, alixdent's newest subscriber :)
I believe that may be a Red-shouldered x Red-tail hawk. You can see the black and white checkered striping on tail and underside of wings like the RSHA and the appearance is more like a RTHA.
This may be very late for you but there is an orca that visits the bay of Fundy, he’s rarely ever seen, let alone caught in camera. They call him Old Thom.
I've been hearing this all spring and couldn't figure out what it was but I finally caught a glimpse and looked it up! What a beautiful and unique call they have. Another one to check off in the bird guide!
This guy is one special fuck. How they pay the bills is beyond me. Your supposed to notch those egged females so when she drops her eggs others know it’s a breeder. If my cap caught me feeding bait to gills he’d toss me over
