Great tone. An easy way I learned to do this is turn the gain all the way up on your interface with just a clean preamp. Gets the tone perfectly just make sure you lower the volume!
I was really lucky to sit beside Kevin a few years in a row working a pedal show together, this thing sounds great in the demo but the effect in person is so much more tactile and immersive. Really really quality hand built pedals you could throw in a wood chipper and still pull out and play! Spooky Circuits forever!!!
I picked this up recently and for some reason I’m only getting the signal coming out of one speaker. Is this only able to be used with a mono cable going into an amplifier?
Nice demo, one of the more interesting percolators I’ve seen in a while. I also just got a slow loris and now I’m thinking I need to try out that pairing!
@@ThePedalPlatform Rivers used a Boss DS-2 through a Mesa Mark on that album. That’s how they got that Weezer crunch. The Rat and The DS-1 & 2 are the absolute closest you will get to the blue album sound through about any amp. I’ve been chasing that particular sound for 20+ years since I first heard the album. I’ve owned countless pedals and those pedals will allow you to get extremely close. Keep in mind the “Weezer” sound also had a lot of studio magic that can’t be replicated live lol!
@@quomofo1 There's a lot of factors. At the end of the day, my amp isn't a Mesa and this sounds much closer to the Blue Album tone with my rig than a Rat or DS-1 has. In other cases, I am sure you are right. While I will use the NARD for these tones, your mileage will definitely vary depending on the many variables. Most important thing is that you are enjoying playing guitar!
@@ThePedalPlatform Don’t get me wrong, that Nard pedal sounds fantastic!!! I’m going to watch some videos on it. I may be making a purchase soon! I’m always glad when I find new distortion pedals to add to the collection. Rock on =W=!!!
Hey thanks for the video. I'm deciding to buy either the standard one or the SE one, and I was wondering if the extra noise that is mentioned on the website (due to the extra BBD chip added on the SE model) is significant? Do you have the standard one? How's the noise floor on the SE one in compare to the standard one? Cheers
If you are very concerned about possible noise, I'd say go with the standard model. There is some although it isn't very noticeable in my opinion, but it is certainly there.
@@ThePedalPlatform Thanks, I went with the SE version as I definitely wanted the fx-loop, as well as the longer delay time. I don't think just an extra bbd is going to add significant MORE noise on the pedal anyway. Cheers
@@ThePedalPlatform Also, did you compare the standard version with the SE? Would you please let me know what were the differences between the two other than the extra delay time and the loop? Which one is your favourite?
It is a gorgeous pedal, but I think this thing really shines when the sensitivity is really locked in to how loud you play a note. Strum a chord loud = Trem starts fast, then eases to slow. This demo was nice sounding, but didn't really explore this function.
I know it’s been a year, but do you recall what guitar and amp you used for this demo? I’m trying find a good drive for getting Weezer green album tone on my fender Hot Rod Deluxe and this one looks promising 👍🏻
This is my favorite combo of pedals I own! Dunno if you’ve tried this but it’s also rad putting the Hypersleep in the delay insert. Can get out of control but tamed right, sounds awesome.
