Welcome to Ryan Outdoors . I started this channel because I love the outdoors and I wanted to share it with others. I'll be taking you on fishing trips, kayak trips, hiking, camping, building bushcraft type shelters, and some small farming. This channel isn't intended to teach you anything in particular. It's more for entertainment although you may learn some new tricks and I'm always open to learning myself. Here's a little background about me.I live in central Minnesota now but I grew up on a small farm in the woods of northern Michigan I was quite young and don't remember much of it. We had horses, pigs, and chickens, and my grandpa had a couple cows. My family loved the outdoors and camping, hunting, and fishing. I read a lot of books and articles about the outdoors and outdoor survival. My Dad was pretty resourceful and he taught me all kinds of cool stuff about surviving .Hey everybody if you want to send me anything ,
Great video Ryan. You have much self control and restraint. Most people would really blow a cork if they were sent the wrong tent pole causing damage. Also, when your fire failed to light, you kept your cool and did what you had to do to get it going. 🙂
There you go again Ryan, making me incredibly hungry right after I just got done eating. Burger looked soooo GOOD 😋😋 Just hearing you crunch into that thing was very satisfying.
I have seen this vid b4 but its been a while, I thought I would revisit it again. Half way through I was so tired I couldn't hardly stand it but I WANTED to see again, so here I am...great video. looking forward to the completion vid, and then an over-nighter with one of your gourmet prepared delicious looking dinners. Thanks Ryan...
Great vid bud. I see a ton of videos with people showing off their brand new just out of the box equipment and all their expensive gadgets and whatnot.. I would much rather watch your vids where you're genuine, and not trying to impress with monetary gadgetry and possessions. You once worded it as, this mega shelter was put together the way a child would build a fort. Again, I say I would much rather watch your vids. Thanks Ryan, Great video.
30 years ago I was wandering Europe by foot before I made my farm. This video reminds me of the beginning of that journey . I watch this over and ovet again just not to forget where I came from. And how much I loved it
Hey Ryan, Enjoyed the video. I am glad to see you stop because of the heat and potential dehydration. Shaping up to be a nice cozy shelter. I will have to search for the video where yo finish it. Nice dog you have. What kind is it? Looks like my Pitski...(part Pit- Bull, part Husky). Good to have a companion out in the backwoods. I have seen your newer videos so may times I am now checking out older ones . I enjoy them all. Thanks bud...
Enjoyed your video Ryan. Great tent with a lot of extra features you don't usually see in a tent. Didn't get to see you cook up any dinner though . I enjoy watching you prepare dinner, and even if I've already eaten, I still get hungry all over again watching you cook and eat your dinner. Thanks for the video
Ryan, I like to unwind watching bushcraft videos since it is also my passion. I have viewed tons of channels, but always come back to yours as yours are the best. You seem like a real down to earth kind of guy and seem easy to talk to and friendly, the kind of guy I would like to sit down with and enjoy a cup of coffee with. I might mention in this crazy world we live in, I am pure in my thoughts actions and conduct. I don't mean anything other than wholesome conversation. I also reside in Minnesota and love it's season's. Thanks again Ryan 😃
Wow! That tarp looked to be flapping dangerously close to that fire 🔥 to the left, as seen on the screen. 55 mph (88 km) is no picnic; that’s some serious wind chill; probably enough so to freeze human flesh in moments … but would you rather fry than freeze? 😅😅 Just a little humour there; I’m sure that you had things under control. That’s a great video in truly brutal conditions.
@@Ryanoutdoors I did say I’m sure that you had things under control. 👍 They say that the camera never lies but that’s not necessarily true! Sometimes the optics can be deceptive. What looks like inches on the screen might be a couple of feet or more in practice.
Your doing great it helps emensly, I’m hitting the powwow tomorrow with my daughter and her boyfriend. Your video has killed some of my unknowns, I’m better prepared now. Thanks and keep it up!!
We made the Journey, it was difficult but worth it. It has changed from your videos, trees are bigger and the trail is easier to follow. Our total miles ended up being 35.32 miles. Thanks again from us.
