We moved to Florida from Texas and let me tell you if you don't make 100k or more you going to be struggling financially but bad . And this is in all South Florida if you move to Tampa 90k and if you move to central Florida around 80k to 75k . School are more expensive food is more expensive gasoline oi is more expensive and even daycare costs are higher. And didn't even think you can rent or buy a house without flooring insurance and let me tell you most of them they only cover 10%. The state is absolutely gorgeous but and definitely more safe than Texas, but extremely expensive also.
I can't discuss this due to fair housing regulations and the issue of steering. However, I will say that it really is a beautiful place to live! I'm happy to talk more about Georgetown and the surrounding areas. Feel free to send me a text at 512.270.0966.
My 26-year-old son moved in May from California born and raised to Kyle transferred his job from San Francisco Airport to the Austin Airport move there with some friends he loves it it's a small little sleepy town but that's what he likes
That's awesome! Kyle is such a peaceful spot, and being close to Austin while still getting that small-town vibe sounds like the best of both worlds. Glad to hear your son is enjoying the move!
Florida. I live in Dallas and it's terrible. I'm tired of this place. There are no jobs for me. Not in animation. Hopefully I get hired in Los Angeles or Vancouver soon. My health has decreased every since I've been in Texas.

Fort Worth really does have a lot going for it! It's amazing to see how the city has managed to grow while still maintaining a relatively low crime rate. Thanks for sharing those stats!
Why the camera is all on you not on the house you’re talking about the details of the house with not showing any details, the camera almost always on you. This video is all about you not the house.
I grew up in Lago Vista from 1983-91. Lago Vista, today reminds me of Lake Way in the early 90's. Lago Vista has excellent schools. Also look at Jonestown.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s amazing to hear how Lago Vista has evolved over the years, and I agree-it does have excellent schools. I’ll definitely check out Jonestown as well. It’s always great to hear from someone with local knowledge and history!
Florida is not what is once was, it is way too expensive here. Rent ,food, insurance ,medical cost all of it has gone up the state has become unaffordable and unlivable. The traffic is horrible the Florida residents are leaving. Way too much gentrification lots of homeless people . The beaches are contaminated and when it rains it floods horribly like 5ft .They don’t care about the low and middle class families they only favor the investors and the wealthy entitled people. The state is so saturated with immigrants ,tourist and snowbirds that finding a job has become difficult, you really have to stand out. Jobs are not even paying enough to make a decent living . Central and north Florida are going up in price soon it’s all going get like Miami. Good luck coming here ,if you are living from check to check stay away from Florida.
Rule of thumb is that you do not buy property east of IH-35. As for Taylor and Manor, both towns are dumps. If you want to see what Manor looks like, just take a tour of the high school or middle school. You will know then and there what you are dealing with.
Manor, Texas? I work in Manor and the town is a dump. Never buy property east of IH 35. Avoid Manor, Elgin, Kyle, Buda, Hutto, Taylor, Round Rock, Pflugerville and most of Georgetown.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts! I know people who really enjoy living in Manor and the nearby towns. It's all about perspective and personal preference.
The Californians ruined Austin. It was great about 20 years ago. The locals hate what has happened as they all know no one cared about Austin before a few celebrities went for a visit.

GEORGETOWN... Way over builds, Way over price, Builders are hurting.. With massive layoff and economy downsize.. Price will be cut in half. Property tax and HOA is killing them.
The homes are built stronger and sturdy in Florida. But it's expensive. Alot if snow birds are still flying down to the east coast haven state. Real estate is always hot but it's hard to get a price with those low salaries. Your career can thrive in Texas to keep up with the mortgage. But sometimes it's about where your family may be. That can sway your decisions. Each state has its benefits. But you have to pay for good education most places in Florida. Texas takes it. Teachers are happier in Texas too. #texas #florida
Thanks for watching and for sharing your valuable insights! Given the differences, where do you think offers the best balance between quality of life and affordability?
@@LiveInATX i firmly believe it's Texas. No competition. I frequent Orlando and Tampa to see my parents and family. It's cheaper to buy a home in a neighborhood with low crime and great schools in Austin, Fort Worth and Dallas metro for example. But you really do pay to play in Florida. But I think both places can make a person happy.
Florida is great to visit but Texas is better for living. There is more geographical diversity in Texas. So you don't really need to leave. The supermarkets and food quality is better in Texas as well. Less food is imported
