LOVING your videos! I am in my last year for my Bachelors in Elementary Education and these videos are great! I just finished your student teaching series. This video has me on Amazon creating my Wishlist now! Great idea to start early and add throughout I finish my last class August 2025 but I don't student teach until Spring 2026, BUMMR, but hopefully on to teaching in my own classroom after! So exciting!! You are amazing!
As a former kinder teacher...NEVER again lol! They are cute but they are way more work than any other grade! I'm sticking with first, second or third lol!
@@mrenaep My dream to buy Toyota Supraa one day it might come to true With your help it might be achieved. And I pray for you all members that you also achieve all your desire dreams you want in life🙏🥰
This is going to be my first year teaching and I am kind if nervous but hopeful that it's gonna be awesome! I've been taking notes down from your videos so thanks for sharing!
I am a high school (age 12 to 15) teacher in the Netherlands but originally from Canada. Going back to teaching in a new school after about 4 months of sick leave due to burn out and a school that was not a match. Very nervous to go back and start at a new school but trying to get excited for it again and collecting ideas by watching classroom st up videos.
My First Year of Teaching was rough. At the end of it liked you when I was graded by my Admin they Gave me a 3/5 although like you I worked my butt off, but they said it was my classroom management that was the issue.
My first (really half year) was a nightmare. I started in January and I cried everyday on the way home. They were the meanest kindergarteners ever! Lol that was 26 years ago and I’m being a bit dramatic. I love teaching but I almost let that first experience scare me away. You’re wise beyond your years. You will get better and grow every year. I’m sorry you had that experience with your admin. Have a great year.
Oh my gosh...the MEETINGS! So many pointless meetings and teachers have so much on their plates already, with not enough time to do what they need to do. All I wanted to do was teach and nurture my students but it's all of the other stuff that made me retire early with no regrets. I was at two different schools and the admin at one of the schools was amazing and totally supported the teachers. Loved the kids and I had great parents and I do miss that part as well as my awesome coworkers.
I’m so sorry that your previous admin threw you under the bus like that in the IEP. I am a veteran teacher of 30 years and I had that happen to me last year! I don’t really like IEP meetings. 😞 Thank you for sharing about your first year- I love hearing about your mentor and the other teachers that supported you. ♥️
During my first year of teaching (3rd grade), when the volume got too loud, there were a few times my first year of teaching that I'd bring out my pink megaphone 😂
I struggle with our printer connection as well. I have a little printer in my classroom, where I print my masters, then I go make copies at the school printer.
Amazing classroom, so cozy and cute. Love the book buddies, am just afraid that they may not stay like that for long when the kids walk back and forth all day? But then again, a classroom is allowed to look lived in, right?
Your room looks awesome!! I love the way you arranged your book buddies. They are so cute! I also really liked how you added just a few of the buzz worth work sheets. It's an awesome idea, and the SO PROUD title is wonderful!! P.S. Would you be open to creating a planbook flip through video? I think those videos are so fun to watch and are helpful.
I’m so pleasantly surprised by your advice for student teachers. You have a very wonderful work ethic. You are much wiser than your years. I wish you well on your career. I’ve been teaching for 27 years. I had a wonderful student teaching experience too. It feels like yesterday. Keep your love and enthusiasm and stay away from negative people who complain all the time. They will drain you.
Thanks for this awesome video! I'm going to be in a 4th-grade classroom this fall. I'm still a little nervous but this video has eased some of my worries :)
As a veteran teacher, these tips are SPOT ON! You were very lucky to have a super mentor teacher. Many mentor teachers, sadly, are not helpful, but thankfully, there are some great mentor teachers out there.
I'm so thankful I found your channel!! After having a half year of long-term subbing (it was a rough half of a year), I'm entering my first full year teaching at a new school! I'm trying to figure out all of my routines and how I want to lay out my classroom and your videos have given me so many ideas! I love the highlighting of their names, the pushpins for the student work board, and doing the buckets for group points! I'll be trying all of those. I also loved hearing about your restorative circle from last year. Whenever I watch your videos, I take so many notes! Thank you for taking the time to get these videos to us!
New Teachers go back Mon 7/29; veteran staff on Mon 8/05 and students come on Mon 8/12; I'm in North California.i love your setup videos; they’re great inspiration. I think my fifth graders will love the highlighter concept.
