Mostly just a 'feeling' ! - but I've always felt like the change to a fourth from the root note - PARTICULARLY a minor chord - has something dark and mysterious about it. Some notable examples include: Dogzilla - Dark Side Of The Moon (Dogzilla PF remix) for the minor and KC Lights - Turn Around from this mix for the major. Both the last chord in their respective progression!

Turn Around made me dance even though I hate dancing, the flow at 24:00 was delicious, I enjoyed the seamless transition into Possession, Vertical looked like a lot of fun, parts of Trifecta were euphoric and uplifting, and I'll identify a few more as I listen again. Hey man! Been looking forward to your next upload, and you didn't disappoint. I was big into electronic music in the 90s and early 00s, but didn't get exposed to all the trance selections you included here. I'm sure that makes me the odd one out as I see other comments like "some of the best tracks of all time". Definitely familiar with some artists like Alice Deejay, Ferry Corsten, 4 Strings, Lange, ATB, and a few more. Also a few banger singles that made it to radio stations as well as dance floors. Regardless, enjoyed the whole thing! You have great taste in music, heheh. Someone mentioned transitions, and yeah, all the technical work is very well done. Obviously been honing your skills for a while, makes it a real pleasure to experience. Thank you! Still hoping for a Trevor Guthrie inclusion in a future set ; ) 280 subscribers and climbing, hopefully it will start jumping by the hundreds at a time instead of just tens, but good to see progress! I feel very lucky to have been listening and riding different waves of melodic dance music through the years. No one's heard all em all though! @@michaelalan89 Hahaha sweeeeet! I suppose he wasn't doing trance in the early 2000s, but I'll listen for him a future mix! Actually, I was a fan of Trevor's back in those days as well, but that's when he was doing the boy band thing. I met him a few times, good guy, but got chewed up and abused by the record industry! His vocal trance stuff over the past decade has been really good, and I'm sure his previous musical experiences all led up to it happening. Oh, I saw those boats go past at 7:10, haha you always have interesting visuals on top of the fantastic audio!

@@AmnesiaGm1 appreciate that! Been working at the YT channel for just a few short months. Hopefully plenty more subs on the way! What software are you using? I actually started mixing way way back on Virtual DJ before I switched to CDJs.
@@michaelalan89 I hope you will not laugh...Davinci Resolve. I wanted to start with something I had already, I was lazy to search and that one was doing a good job for beginner level. I have done 8 mixes on that.
Nice set, but from an OS Trance DJ, don't over exaggerated knob turning, it makes you look like a knob. Props on 7 colours though, such a forgotten tune..... EDIT I got 30 mins in and couldn't watch the fakery an longer - fair attempt though... but why does the x fader not move? The only time you move it, would have thrown the mix way out, not even beat matching sync could have saved that (fml)
@@555jaybo I'll take that! I honestly don't think about it - it's just part of the feeling for me. I used to be dancer, so maybe that has something to do with it. Appreciate the comment and glad you enjoyed the set! 🥰
@@555jaybo I do not mix with the cross fader - just channel faders. Mix was recorded live with the DJM-REC app. I can give you all my fav/preferred DJM900 settings if you'd like to verify - no fakery to be found here! 👍
Great production and vocals! I was a little surprised by the track arrangement, but then realized it was probably done to make the track more favourable to DJs mixing it into their sets. Will there be a "radio mix" version? Thanks for all your uploads!

Hello mate! Thanks again for the lovely comment and touching base - yep, things are growing slowly but surely - fingers crossed that the acceleration happens soon! :) Your likes and comments surely help that goal. In terms of visuals - yep, they are all my own. I usually do a round of B-Roll and drone footage before and after each DJ set. Just me out there, so quite time consuming, but super rewarding!
