Wimmera Fish Hunters is based in Horsham Victoria Australia,
Horsham is very centrally located to some amazing fishing and camping spots, we are very lucky to have some of Victoria's best freshwater fishing right on our doorstep here. Common target species for us are Murray Cod, yellowbelly, trout, redfin, silver perch and catfish. Bait, lure and fly we do it all !
We also travel around a fair bit in search of fishing action so you can expect to see some videos from the Murray, Darling and Murrumbidgee rivers as well as Surf and saltwater fishing at various locations in Victoria and South Australia.
We show not only the catching but we show all our techniques and ideas as well. We hope you learn something from what we do ! Our aim is to make entertaining and informative fishing videos and help people too !
Proudly supported by Strikerz lure scents, Ambush lures, Nomis spinnerbaits and Woody's Top Cut Meats Horsham.
@@RippinReelsFishing always worth a go but I think it’s pretty low, the council has let a heap of water go out the weir again like they do every winter for some reason so it will be tough fishing
Great vid, nice fish! Never used mudeyes as bait but I do catch stockies in our local lakes with a soft plastic mudeye under a float. Works real well when there is that chop on the water so the sp moves around plenty 👍
Thanks for the plug with the scrub worms mate . It’s great to see a lot of people catching fish using them . Great reddies good to see them starting to get about .
Good stuff mate nice couple of red fin and they were a couple of big carp full of eggs by the look of it good to get them out of the system cheers mate

Hi Al nice reddies good for breakfast 🤤. You should try the Tails off the carp on a hot BBQ till crispy, and you would swear you are eating, pork Crackling 🤤. See you on the next one 👍

That was a decent trout alright ✔️ Al. Waders were on. Bugger about the stick, it. Made it interesting. THAT Green stuff on the Waters Edge??? great video 💯.
Lol ! We've been releasing all our trout at Toolondo so far, waiting for them to get a bit bigger and we might keep the odd one then but I'd say we will still be mostly catch and release, thanks for watching !
Along the bank as the water resides under the weed mulch loads Worms some 1ft long i had to wrestle it into a bag as it hiss at me couldve been a snake idk :) 70s we watch millions of small redfin 2/3" long going up the channel and shook a heap out them small bank reeds near lots tidlers be great if you had a dam with nothing in it i love redfin i wud trade a trout or yella anyday only trout i like 1lb is smoked
@@markissboi3583 yeah the Redfin are great eating and are starting to show up more in catches at Toolondo now which is promising Most of my trout let go but when I cook one I have an awesome way to cook trout with bacon, I may do a demo vid of this cooking method for trout one day, tight lines !
4months ago no wonder we didnt get alot there Ha! but sank a few coldies and always cleaned up the rubbish chitheads leave behind . Wait we went to wong lake its was further up the road anyway next time then . 2025 sheez time flys doing nuffin allday cheers
Excellent work Al, some very nice catches and love to see land based fishing at its best. Videos like this one is terrific and helps promote fishing as anyone can do this style. Well done!!!
@@roytcusani1895 can only be kept in Wimmera basin, would need fisheries to clarify whether this lake is in Wimmera basin or not . If after a feed just chase the Redfin which are pretty easy and prolific here . pretty much everyone let’s silver perch and catfish go that I know
My Bro! in a kayak Lake Wallace caught 140 Redies on a rubber lure ( note to self 2025 summertime Lake wallace) and yabbing :) @O as he paddled to the bank to say to hi to some fisherman he caught 6 over 1lb+ = 1/2 kg many females full of Eggs i just happened to drop by as he fileted what he took Most thrown back only what he wants & cooked me refin fish& chips Yum
Great work Al. All we need is for everyone to follow the unique size limit for the browns at Toolondo and we are going to see some trophy trout from there in 2025.
@@browntrout1156 brown trout size limit is 45 cm, bag limit 3 but pretty much everyone we have seen is catching and releasing to let the fishery develop
