We just got this exact machine. We have 200 miles on it and I’m going next weekend to try to trade it in. We have to wear sunglasses or safety glasses the entire time we ride constantly blows, dust off of the road and swirls around the cabin. It’s my number one complaint once we get from points to point B. we look like raccoons I had no idea it would be this bad. doesn’t matter if we’re completely by our self on a trail or not, we have a glass windshield and a back glass shield I also agree with the shifting issue.
Good for recreation, but not a serious work machine since it has the smallest cargo box in the industry. They don't need the largest, but the smallest? Come on Polaris.
For that price i can buy a $20k truck and put 10-15k in to it. It would be stronger more capable street legal in 50 states (kind of) far less likely to break. I can drive it to the trail head no matter how far away it is. Etc
Kawaski is crazy with their prices brand new, I looked at a 2 seat KRX and it was going To be almost 30k… The Polaris razr XP 1000 4 seater was like 24k brand new, and my commander 700 XT was 18k.. The KRX is nice but not worth it, neither is the Ridge, they’re both slow, they have a lot of bottom/mid range power but it comes up a bit short for me. Great for trails tho.
The “down is up” window switches are a safety hazard. A cnild can easily get they’re head stuck in a closing window. That’s why they haven’t done this in cars for many years
You guys do realize there are 4 xpedition models right? A 2 seat and 4 seat ADV model as well as a 2 seat and 4 seat XP? You bought the least overlanding version of it.. like the version that someone might also use around the house for utility but its primary use is still to ride.
They haven't sorted the 4 wd rocker, when you lose grip you get diff lock on first notch of switch then 4 wd on second notch but it is still in diff lock when in 4 wd so killing all joints bushes and drive shafts as when you turn it puts extreme pressure on everything. Diff lock should be in second position and only use when last resort. Tractors automatically come out of diff lock when you hit brakes, ranger should be same.
When you got in the 2024 you said it has more storage. No it doesn't. You can't store shit under the seats. The 2014 actually has storage under the seats.
@@3ron Well ah, then store something under it. Now it's not wasted anymore. If you don't have trays under the seat, then you didn't get any. Why is that?
Hell I’ve still got an 2012 rzr 800s that I bought new ,many upgrades superatv power steering, best upgrade lol,it’ll do anything the turbos will do not as comfortable but I’ve got seats out of a 1000 much better than stock, 5000 miles and I’ve changed belt once, brakes a few times, bearings 3 times, plugs once, keep the oil changed and air filter blown off, suspension bushings once with the SELF LUBRICATING ones so far so good, ball joints a couple times, tie rod ends,I can’t complain engine runs like new no smoke, valve cover leaks a little but I’m sure it’ll last me till I’m too old to ride one lmao overall extremely happy
Nice video but not comparing apples to apples with those two models. HVAC and other options are available but at a price. If options come standard it will make UTVs less affordable.
When are all you dumbass people going to open your eyes about Polaris you pay way to much and then Polaris does not know how to build a clutch so then every time you want to go ride go spend 120 dollars for spare belt so people just keep buying them and belts Polaris will love you
Ok, two things...is it a fruit-fly, or a gold-fish. Matters a bunch, because I have a couple goldfish that are over 15 years old, an one that will be 20 this October.
As an owner of one of these I can say that no full cab sxs is worth what they're asking these days. You pay over 10 grand to get an "enclosed" cab that leaks water, and dust at every door, and the windshield, with ac that barely cools on the hot days when you actually need it, because you're just blowing it out all the leaks. Then the dealership will tell you that it's an off-road vehicle and these things should be expected when you ask them to fix the issues. Should've got one without the cab, put soft doors, a windshield, and heater in it, and could've saved myself 9 grand.
I own this same 2 seater XP Northstar except in green. Mine is very well sealed, you get minimal dust and maybe an occasional drip of water in a carwash situation. The heat and A/C work perfect and will freeze or cook you. My only complaint is the crummy clutching from the factory and resulting noise. I do agree, they're overpriced, but what isn't now.
This is what I’m debating on. I’d ac really the important? If I’m paying that much for the xp5 I’m just going to spend 5 k more on the xd1500 and another 2k on shocks.. it’s only money right?
Used to have a Kawasaki mule MX . And also used to have a Kawasaki mule pro FXR I noticed that you talked about reliability on Kawasaki mules but with mine there was nothing but trouble and issues with them Kawasaki 3 year warranty was absolutely horrible . I purchase a can am defender so far it has treated me very well and had zero issues at this time never again I will purchase anything with a Kawasaki logo on it
I agree I used to have a 2013 teryx that was nothing but problems from the day I bought it. Fought Kawasaki for almost a year to get them to honor the warranty, because 1 month after I purchased it, it needed a new top end on the engine because it sucked so much dust in it in 100 miles. It was constantly overheating, I had to put a coolant temp gauge in it, and a switch so I could turn the fan on before it hit 230 degrees when the computer would turn it on. Nothing about a Kawasaki is reliable. Not to mention changing a belt was a full day ordeal or a 700 dollar bill at the dealer. I feel sorry for anyone who gets suckered into a Kawasaki product.
I seriously don't understand how you can review the smallest model they make and complain about space. Plan ahead and understand what you're buying people.
