If you call yourself a good mechanic or a person that works on cars and you bitch through the whole video, you must not be a very good mechanic red suit your color. All you need is a bow tie on your head, Minnie mouse.
An 89 one, but automatic, same exact trim and everything in great shape for $1200 with 164k come up, I regret not getting it. Needed a top. Nice plaid interior. But I am really happy with the 2000 Cabrio I bought.
It saddens me to think somebody got paid to design this idiotic battery placement. We have a 2010, V6 diesel AWD and it has been a nightmare with all its crazy design bugs! (NOT features!!!) Thanks for posting this. I need it as "suddenly" the imobiliser has decided to take a dump, then the front location sensors quit just just after the rear hatch (whole door) has decided it will not open! Window does... THEN the battery went to OVolts/0% charge, so I had to "bring it back" using my motorcycle tender maintainer first, then a "3-6A" trickle charger over 3 days! It's now 12.3V, 100% charged. This Toe-Rag is becoming a nightmare, that is nickel and diming us into the poor house. It has had all recommended maintenance at the dealer and the VW fuel system mods with warranty, plus it only has 114K miles. Any ideas please?
Great overview of the install process. My tank has got that metal shield piece. I am thinking of taking that off so I can clean and inspect under there. I wonder what that shield is for?
I have a chemical that looks like whip cream when it comes out. You just rub it on the light with a terrycloth until it starts to squeak clean. I can’t remember the name at the moment. I used it when I use to Detail for a living.
I had a 2001 golf TDI for 18 years and 393K miles. When I sold it it was in amazing shape. I really tried to take care of it as best I could. I had a guy fly down to Orlando from Michigan to buy it. He drove it home, and last I talked to him he had 450K on it. They're really great cars when taken care of.
What a fantastic find and suicide doors I am amazed they go for a fortune in england and the suicide door models are very rare never seen one for sale .
Definitely a cool car - expected to see 25 clowns climbing out of it ... 🤡🤡🤡Micro car, smaller than a Beetle of the day ... Simca had a similar type car back in 60's & 70's ... Will be very interesting to see how this Fiat 500 Nuova comes back to life ... Not a Italian Ferrari, but in many ways more Italian history/flavor - in a whole different way ...
