Wayne may use direct, physical action, but after the fight, he shakes hands (usually) to say, "the problem has been resolved, let's move forward".

I've only seen two seasons so far, but I totally missed the concept that Wayne fights for everyone but himself. Except when he is called out by a challenger -- but even then, keeping the title of toughest guy in town is essential to his role as protector.

If Canadians are as foul mouthed as they are on this show, then y'all have no culture and your culture is similar to Serbian culture where they swear and are foul mouthed like Russians because Serbs are ethnic russians. The horrendous swearing of Serbians is one thing, and the TV show LetterKenny is on a par with Serbian culture. Its supposed to be based around a community of Irish immigrants from the town of Letterkenny in Ireland, that left Ireland because of the potato famine. What you think is normal and good and regular Canadian society and reminiscent of your own Canadian township, is something you should be ashamed of your horrible culture. Vulgar fouled mouth and violent people and who make Christians the butt of their jokes.

Hi, this video is a few years old at this point but I thought I'd say a few words as a rural Canadian myself, I have always sort of seen Texas as being similar to how we treat eachother out here, we treat our family and friends with respect, we love em and fight for em even if sometimes we hate em, and especially when we don't know how to tell em, it's just how communities are here, I lived in a bigger city for a while now but my heart will always be back in a little town of around 200 people where everyone knows everyone and we all are willing to pitch in and help eachother

Just found this vid. Spot on. When I was a kid we moved from the suburbs to a farming county. Not community, the whole county in Michigan we moved to farmed. I've been around some tough S.O.B.s from cities, but the country boys, especially on the big farms, I ain't messing with. Those guys will have your back in a heartbeat, but do not piss them off. Many a good nights around a Michigan fall bonfire with a few good dudes and some beer and whiskey. Ever see Blazing Saddles??? If not, there's a scene where Mongo played by former Detroit Lion Alex Karras is coming to town. Everybody is scared of him. Sheriff Bart played by Clevon Little thinks he's just gonna go take care of Mongo being the law, so he grabs his gun. That's when the Waco Kid played by the legendary Gene Wilder hits Bart with this line: "No, no, no. Don't do that. Don't shoot him. If you shoot him you'll only make him mad." That's what farm boys remind me of. They'll whip you, then they'll go to work on you.

4:05 I somewhat disagree. Wayne does fight for himself in the early episodes. "End of the laneway don't come up the property". This entire story arc is just about wayne proving he's the toughest guy in letterkenny and as far as I can tell he's not directly defending anyone.
@ceeceebb8949
@ceeceebb8949 Год назад
I see what you mean. However, I argue that he ultimately isn’t fighting for himself. The catalyst for the crusade was Wayne defending the defenseless and his sister. Being the toughest guy in Letterkenny isn’t a title he wants. He already knows that he is. But the title holds power and respect in the community. In order to best serve and protect his town, he needs the title. Again, not for himself, but for the good of Letterkenny. That’s my take on it, anyway. I could be wrong.

i cant help but feel like the character of Wayne fits the archetype of the jewish Golem. a staunch defender of the community who protects those he deems as his people though is never looks for a fight and does want to have no conflict, though is ready to throw punches and isn't afraid to be the first one to.
