Yes I remember this one. I always remember the line about hands "to hold a thousand things" made me always think about the Crackerjack 'Double or Drop' game.
... A treasured song from my childhood years. We used to sing this song when I was still in junior primary school in the early '80s. Thank you for the memories!
This is a hymn that i loved singing at Primary school in collective worship. We would sing it sometimes when we went over to church for school services. I am always most nostalgic and always sticking to the past, instead of thinking about growing up. I miss my beloved primary school with all my heart ❤❤❤😪
I agree with the sentiment about the songs and how happy they made us, but for someone like me, these songs were a form of relief from the difficulties of life in general, as were cartoons
Like many here, this was my favourite assembly song at primary school, and by complete chance, it was the song we sang at my final assembly on the final day of year 6. I can't describe how emotional it was singing this for the last time. A perfect way to mark the end of an era.
Oh my gosh! Memories! I always have this song in my head from time to time and I was listening to a vid, then they said ‘All over the world…’ and this literally old skool ☺ song came back into my head. I decided to put the first couple of the lines in the tinternet search and look what came up! The song and your wonderful channel 🤸🏾♀😁. I totes subbed! Thank you for the joyous memories! 💜 🤗 Keep the child inside of you alive folks! 😊😊😊😊
It’s about the kids love for Jesus I believe - they love Him and want to give Him the best gifts they possibly can - gift giving is their love language lol
Thanks for your great song full of peaceful meanings: Lyrics: Peace, perfect peace, is the gift of Christ our Lord. Peace, perfect peace, is the gift of Christ our Lord. Thus, says the Lord, will the world know My friends. Peace, perfect peace, is the gift of Christ our Lord. Hope, perfect hope... Joy, perfect joy...
You think by stealing these words from the children ot will be ok . The Lord knows. You stop being good and your fall .I love you God x Be strong we were good to the best degree once x
The songs I remember well are well-polished, but songs like this evoke deeper memories precisely because I'd forgotten about them for so many years. The memories evoked are authentic and unpolished. Tha-ank you friend, for this upload!
When I first sang this in 1991, the words were projected onto the wall by the projector, and as a 4-year-old I thought the headmaster's silhouette was a mysterious giant who only showed up during school assembly.
