Welcome to my little world on RU-vid. This channel is about my adventures in tiki, tropical plants, greenhouse and tiki gardening, other interests, how-to's, product reviews, and fun.
In the off season from gardening, I may do videos on other things that interest me from chainsaw carving, to metal detecting, to flying, to who knows what ;-)
Thanks for this useful and entertaining video. Have 15 or so ears still on my plants + a new grinder that I haven't used yet. I'm a first-time gardener, hoping to expand production next spring.
I’ve wondered about this process for many years - thank you so much for sharing! You and your family look like really hard workers - may God bless you!
My Billett Technology catch can should be here next week. I have everything I need. I can tell the hardest part of everything is going to break that factory glue loose to remove the hard plastic tube.
So it's been about 2 years, any updates on the can? Find any oil? How many miles? Still have it on? Any dash lights ever come on? Does it run the same as before?
Some people will look at this and say this is too time-consuming ' I'd rather get my girts and cornmeal from the store '. Yes that is easy and convenient but you were spending more money just buying something that is already made. Using your own corn that you have grown or corn seeds that you bought from the store to get to different products out of them is really amazing.
Oh my God. I installed mine months ago and just realized I used that rubber bushing the wrong way this hole time, like you did initially. I thought it was suppose to just be a bumper and just rest against the sheet metal. LOL, will fix today. I always thought that it was kind of a cheesy way to do things.
I’m a newbie and a plumeria group in Fb suggested your video. Question, what kind of heating pad do you use? I have 4 cuttings I bought at Etsy from Hawaii. It’s a month now since I potted it. Just want to make sure when I take it inside it will have somewhat same temp to keep it growing. I hope I get a reply from you. Thanks
Thank you! Got gifted some cutting, forgot them drying out on porch, 6 months later they are growing leaves so I’m sticking them in dirt! I’m in S Cal so probably don’t need to keep indoors, but I have a cat heating pad…. Hmm.
I have a very similar grinder called a Victoria and the plates didn’t run true. I found they had a Carter key holding it on instead of a round one. I believe it would help a lot if it was round. I really enjoyed the video though.
Hello @tiki71 I have some cuttings I have been growing that I picked up on a recent trip to Oahu at the ABC store. They have recently been repotted, and the leaves are growing like crazy. I water them once a week based on your video with Hawaiian Bud & Bloom. Should I take off some of the leaves or just let them fall over naturally? One of the clippings got small flowers within two months, the others have not? Thanks and enjoy your videos
Hello! Have you ever propagated the same brand of Hawaiian Tropical plumerias without the heating pad or UV lights? And if so, how did their growth compare to the method shown here?
Oh yeah, I discovered that stuff two years ago and it’s great for everything. Sadly, the summer I’ve been slacking because of the heat and now I’m paying for it with the fire ants. Highly recommend Talspar. It can even be used inside the house at a lighter application rate.
Entertaining, educational, funny, and the mallet had me laughing. I'm sure Katy (or Katie) found out about the table. I am about to grow my first one as my friend just brought it for me from hawaii. I didn't fast forward at all. Actually at times I did rewind. Bravo thank you I'll keep you posted
just a little note I buy corn at the feed store clean deer corn they call it I buy a55 gl drum for $50 I grind it for corn meal and mix in with my chicken feed works fantastic and way cheaper and easier than growing my own
@@Tiki71 Thank you. I dehydrated some sweet corn and ran it through a grinder. Probably going to try to make cornbread as I do not really know what else to use it for.
