I'm really trying to learn as much about competition shooting as possible and hope to compete in my first match in the next couple of months or so. Question: What do you believe caused the malfunction where the slide appeared to sieze up for moment?

Did the lockwood slide help with running the gun faster then the x five. I love my p320. I would like to get the most out of it before switching platforms.
So it's actually a Modern Classic slide with a hand fitted Faxon bull barrel. It's the same thing as a Lockwood functionally. Only difference is aesthetics. And I absolutely love mine. I think if you shoot a 320 for competitions that this is the best way to go. If you have more questions about it, you can reach out to me on Instagram.
So I sprayed the grips in a Matte Black finish with Brownells alumahyde. Very good stuff. Grip texture is silicone carbide from Sussex Gun Works. They do the best job with silicone carbide.
