Thanks for your informative video. I took mine apart and cleaned it but to no avail. It was worth a shot though. I ordered a new one, installed it and now I have all speeds instead of just two; off and full blast.

I am sorry that it didn't work for you. Did you ever figure out what the problem was. Maybe wires or switch.

Nearly all modern 2-cycle engines will specify the oil mix ratio of50:1. That means that you add 2.6 ounces of 2-cycle oil to a gallon of gas. This is adequate to keep the tiny engine cruising along. For simplicity just use an even 3 ounces which gives you a 42.6:1 ratio and will be perfect. Try to buy good quality oil such as Echo Red Armor or other reputable branded product. But most important - ALWAYS add your mix oil to the fuel. Ratios are very simple to calculate: If you want a 40:1 mix of fuel to oil then divide your amount of fuel (128 ounces = 1 gallon U.S.) by 40 and you'd know to use 3.2 ounces of oil. If you have oil and want to know how much gas to buy for your mix then you multiply the amount of oil by the ratio you want to mix. So you have 2 ounces of oil and you want a 40:1 mix ratio: 2oz X 40= 80 ounces of gasoline. So you'd take your can and buy 80 ounces (.625 gallons) of gas to mix with your 2 ounces of oil to give you your desired 40:1 mix ratio.

40:1 keeps the wristpin and piston skirts well lubricated. 50:1 is too lean for two strokes, the only reason the manufacturers want you to run 50:1 is because of the EPA bs

For my 26b it say like 25/1 for oil I think
