Jimmy Carter did not take the slime money and he refused to be a puppet for slimy people. The reason he was a one term President, HE WAS A GOOD MAN, UN BROUGHT, PATRIOTIC, A MAN WHO KNEW RIGHT FROM WRONG. He would not Support genocide to any group of people, he was not racist, he was not full of hate, President Carter led his country like a Country should be led. He cannot be replaced. Thank God that I was alive during the Carter Administration.
Jimmy Carter was one of the most decent people that has ever held public office. He is an amazing person and a force for good in this world. Mrs. Carter as well. The world is a worst place without her.
That decency is why he lost his 2nd term. He wouldn't succumb to the power brokers that actually control our government. He spoke truth about Palestine and his character was attacked for it. Decent people don't get far in this country and that's why non-governmental people with a platform keep their mouths shut. Everyone should be aware of who actually controls this country!!!

@trollfinger hmm, I don't know. I don't think they will. Particularly considering that you can not bypass the complex bureaucratic process even if you hold the most important position. Thus eventually a change in policy has to stem from the change of overall political thinking and system. But I think if you can promise that their decision will be the final decision then I see no reason why they wouldn't want to.
I find it somewhat ironic that Fisk chuckles when he speaks at the 2:10 mark of the Lebanese politician with blood on his hands via terror and war crimes who meets Condoleeza Rice. Is he conveying typical western incredulity of allegations against our good war efforts or dismayed at the denial of our society? I like to think the latter.
exactly , British have never & will never be die hard partisans of untruth & constantly challenge such protocol esp in the media ...recently issue wrt BBC airing of the aid piece for the Palestinians did not go untested. such defiance as opposed to American media its apologist , propagandist way of reporting. despite the colonialist & imperialistic British past they have challenging minds & are non-conformists. perhaps change comes with Obama, Americans need an intelligence wave of reform.
you see what happned in gaza .. israel dicided it should let go of gaza, hoping they would start make thing better for them. don't tell me there were a siege, the boarder to egypt was open in 2005, and israel supplies gaza with everything they need. hamas could have been the savior of gaza, showing the Palestinian that the islamic party can make wonders .. where the fatah did noting .. but they like to "resist" (revenge), how can israel let go someone who will attack it the next day ?
i am an israeli .... and i speak out of experience not tv propaganda ... first of all i wouldn't want fight them (most of the Palestinians don't fight israel) there are better ways to get things then war against Israeli citizens.. by bowling buses and firing rockets they kill the israeli will to let go of the west bank and gaza .. 20 years ago before all the intifada, the there were no walls, no siege on gaza, Israelis went to by thing in the west bank, Palestinians worked freely in Israel..

if his good friends of hizballa, hamas and iraqi insurgency had war planes with huge cluster bombs they would use them to drop the bombs deliberately on cities. as they do blow civilian buses and fire rockets in to city centers around the world ..
