Hey man, nice to see you still working on the turbo ‘rolla, have you ever thought about insulating the car? I personally insulated the trunk and it truly made a difference, less rattling while driving.
Hey there! Your videos have been like tutorials for me, and they're giving me a lot of ideas. I'm from Brazil, and I haven't found many videos about modifications for Corolla here. Thank you so much, and keep up the great work!
Thanks for thr tutorial, Brandon! I just received my kit & brass bushings for my '06 XR-S. Every review I read on MWR's website for both upgrades were positive, and made a noticeable improvement to the feel. I can't wait to get them both installed! Thanks Again, Brandon! Cheers!
@@BrandonStellmach I'm sure I will! I'm planning on eventually rebuilding the transmission esp. upgrading the 3rd & 4th gears(a known weakness in the C60 transmissions), or all the gears if I can afford it, New synchros, installing the Kaaz SuperQ 1.5way clutch style LSD, new clutch, throw out bearing, etc. With some suspension mods to make it into a monster in the corners😆😆😆😆😆
The 2010 Corolla Model S has a TON of extra bolts and clips that weren't in this video. I know all years and models aren't the same, though. You're video helped guide me in the right direction, thanks.
This corolla has been tampered and messed with before I bought it, so I definitely might be missing some bolts! But I appreciate you watching, and hope the video helped out!
Enjoyed the video and the process you used for the installation. How did you identify the correct wire for the steering wheel switch and where did you wire it into the the system?
Thank you! I appreciate you watching! As far as wiring, my radio has 2 camera inputs. One for the backup camera. And another one for auxiliary camera. I used the video input on the aux camera, and than I can toggle a switch in my settings to turn the camera on with the steering wheel controls.
Wheel spacers are definitely a must. I went with 25 mm on rear and 15 mm on the front. The bigger spacer is required in the rear to make up the difference after removing the 10 mm stock spacer.
Hi, I've one of these carkit blink (the tablet one), I restore to fabric settings and the buttons on the left of the screen (power, home, back, volume) do not work anymore,, anyone can help me?
@@BrandonStellmach yes, it was working fine, but it restored to fabric whithout I do anything. All apps and accounts connect were lost, and the button didn't work anymore. Do you know the password to restore again? I tried 1234 and 0000 but didn't work.
@@mvsboss sorry that the restore messed everything up. I am unsure of the brand radio you have. But I would imagine if you search for that factory radio passcode you should be able to find it online!
It’s a great addition to the GR corolla! Especially at the price point compared to many others! But I would say it’s probably about 1.5 inches lower than the factory bumper.
Looks good on the car. Any other future mod plans like exhaust upgrade to e.g. Magnaflow, Borla, or Miltek or whatever exhaust manufacturers fits the GRC. Or maybe a mid spoiler on the rear hatch?
Thank you! And I have been looking for an exhaust! But too many to decide from. But I have been leaning towards a valved exhaust, so I can choose how loud it is! I have seen the OTL exhaust come out, but they have sold out already!
@@BrandonStellmachthe OEM exhaust is a bit understated in its sound. And not very loud. I definitely would go for a valved exhaust, so you can decide when to go loud and not loud. Not so great an idea to come home around 1 am and have it loud. Neighbors probably gonna hate you for that. And maybe wannna delete the middle exhaust too. I’m not a fan of the three exhaust pipes. But I definitely don’t hate it as well. Maybe go for two single exhaust on each side. Only problem there is that then you have to buy plastic plate to cover the middle section or hole. And that doesn’t look great either
@@joakimhjelm-svennesen8984yeah the OEM exhaust is pretty good for what it is! Great deep tones! But I agree a valves exhaust is what I would want, so it is controllable! But I am in the same boat, I would rather have 2 exhaust tips on each side and delete the middle one. But a lot of manufacturers are keeping the 3rd exhaust tip.
Thank you! And I have been thinking about painting them! Just need to figure out what color to go with! Don’t think I want to do the typical red. I want to try something different!
I am like 90 percent sure it will work. I know beat sonic has made a video installing it in a similar corolla. Just need to verify part numbers are the same. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GL4UxIxfp78.htmlsi=3zNazSv8yPQwyFG9
I did a review on the older version of this scanner and I showed the features on the GR corolla in this video! Many other features for the newer cars! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jSimiGYN2qA.html
That’s awesome! As for the rear spoiler, I have a more in depth video on how I installed it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9e-izKVA4Yk.html
some launch models can tbh but some cant idk which tho my mechanic has one and it has the functionality for essentially all brands and that includes customization for toyota edit: as i check it now no i dont believe so that only has a very limited number of functions as stated by the product page
Love your videos! It nice to see someone working on a Rolla. I have a 2017 Rolla se. I want to mod it to be more like a civic si but don’t know where to begins. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you! I appreciate it! As for making it like a civic Si, are you just trying to get more power? Or making it look like one? Because there are plenty of bolt ons and a tune that can make it just as fast as one! As for looks, hard to say what to do, other than a body kit and more aggressive wheels and suspension!
@@BrandonStellmach Thanks for answering my comment…. I guess my goal is to just make it fun to drive like a civic si if that makes sense. I definitely don’t want to compromise reliability or all of my fuel economy. 😅 It’s already a pretty decent cruiser with all the windows and sunroof down.
@@noahfolk468depending on how much you plan to spend. The best to start with is suspension, like nice coil overs/lowering springs. And some upgraded strut and sway bars to stiffen the suspension. That way it handles great! But going with some simple bolt ons and a tune, will not compromise these cars, it is still very conservative!
@@BrandonStellmachalright, thanks for the advice. Can’t wait to see what I can do. I have an axel back borla that sounds ok… I would like it to be louder with maybe the pops and bags you had on your rolla. I’m definitely trying to keep the price down. I want to save for the next ride….
