Yes, but can we still play up to eight different characters at a time? That was one of my favorite features, and was one of the main things that set it apart from other games in the franchise.
Great another soulslike game... everything is starting to incorporate that franchises elitism and it's making gaming not for everyone like it should be.
It is visually stylish for sure, but in my opinion Western developers can't do compelling shmup gameplay. They imitate Japanese styles but can't find their own success in the genre.
I don't think they are going for a true Japanese shmup. This is more in line with something like Afterburner and Star Fox but with perhaps a Japanese visual flare.
First PC game which I ve played when i bought my first PC in 2000. Strong narrative, mind blowing levels with clever puzzles. Difficulty as it should be, not like today's rogue - souls - like style. Now remastered. Bravo guys!. Buying it 100 %
I enjoyed the first one as someone who likes turn based games but only knows of fairy tail characters and not the actual story. As long as this one has a bigger budget and just improves on the foundation I know I'll like it.

Hear me out im glad it got cancelled they (new team) were gonna ruin the game this trailer has a very short gameplay footage which looks familiar and looks like a next step from igi two The new team were about to ruin it with tnew mechanics like Sprinting the new game was made in unreal engine crap looks nothing like igi performance was gonna be shit they were not gonna use the same mysic director We dont need that ( they probably scraped what toadman interactive worked on the original team who worked on igi 1 and two) This tiny trailer stayed tru to the original igi the antimater team were about to ruin it glad it is cancelled
The developer's previous game (Fell Seal) was basically a FFT / TO clone and they have said already that one of their main inspirations for this game is Battle Brothers so yeah
Not sure if it is a good comparison but, this game reminds me of an old game called Battle Brothers. The difference here is that this is a High Fantasy setting
