Actually...some of the Worst neighborhoods in the "D' are near the Fringes of the City...particularly on the North Side. The Detroit State Fair was the Oldest around...it moved out to Novi years ago. The housing surrounding the Old State Fair was built (with exceptions) from the 1940s-1960s. The Older stuff, on major streets like Gratiot, etc. was built along the long-gone Interurban lines. Those were the street cars which ran between Cities. Even Tony Rochester Hills' Main Street has a 19th Century Opera house, and other old buildings...because of their former Streetcar line. Much of that housing...both Newer and Older...is abandoned, bombed-out, or reduced to vacant lots. And...the areas of Detroit...e.g. near City Airport...that are Prairielands...are Not Safe, Either. That Said...the Near East Side, Near West side, and the Enclave of Highland Park...are Also Very BAD. The Lower East Side has seen some improvement.
This looks like the Dexter/Linwood area. That Bastard Henry Ford was the Bill Gates of his Era. When we had relatives over, in the Sixties and Seventies, we would take them to Greenfield Village, the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village (both MUST-sees on your Bucket-List) and the nearby River Rouge complex. We saw the Mustangs being assembled. But-Nowadays...with Automation and Outsourcing...the Old Union Sinecures are Long Gone. There are maybe a thousand workers there...down from 100,000 in the past.
I guess this uninformed video is meant to be a trigger to the people of the Motor City. You low grade imbeciles haven’t any idea what this great city looks like or is about. Detroit is big time now and getting better every year. I challenge anyone to visit this beautiful metropolis. Detroit is the future. 💯
This isn't Monroeville, PA. This was Lawrenceville Passing Highland Park Zoo and going towards Penn hills on Allegheny River Boulevard to Sandy Creek Road eventually after passing up Lime Hollow Road onto Frankstown Road. Traveling on Jefferson Road which is in Penn Hills, PA. Eventually you will come to Monroeville after making the left off Jefferson Road. This is considered the back road to Monroeville, PA, ( the video is misleading ). Eventually he turns onto Business Route 22 In Monroeville, Pennsylvania Pennsylvania.
Looks like any other major city to me, i mean, every damn corner isn't going to be paradise. Looks like here in Chicago, they do the same thing here urban explorer's or whatever the hell you all call yourselves shit America in general has fallen on hard times nothing new but i can say Detroit does look a lot better than it did even 5 years ago show the ghettos here in Chiraq stop the BS
The downtown is similar to any other major ones in the US. Also, the city management has started investing a lot in infrastructure, developments etc. Detroit is getting back on track. Won't happen overnight but sooner than haters think.
These things are so bad, lol. I need this thing as well as a yugo. I want to build a red spring button that launches you into the sky in both of these and also reverse the air conditioners so the hot is cold and the cold is hot, I want to make the doors cardboard and cover it with plastic so it doesn’t get wet, I want to put fake feet under it so it looks like a flintstones car, but CARS ARE SO EXPENSIVE 😭😭😭 Ps : skeleton grip for the stick is also something I NEED.
