Ottimo documentario sulla Sicilia, ben fatto, spesso lo riguardo. Volevo fare solo una precisazione. Al minuto 27' 50'' si parla del Mercato più famoso di Palermo: la Vucciria. Vucciria non significa come si evince dal filmato, " confusione, caos; " ma significa " Vuccieri , Macellaio, Macelleria ". Grazie per aver caricato questo documentario che mi ha sinceramente commosso in quanto sono anche siciliana. I ricordi della propria terra non si dimenticano mai e la distanza fa veramente male (Io vivo a Londra). Mi ha profondamente commosso vedere la parte in cui Locatelli parla di Falcone che non si puo' dimenticare e quel cielo azzurro, il mare e i sapori di un'isola che ha tutto e che per me e' CASA.

Glutamate Sulphate, as a Sicilian descendant whose parents are Sicilian/Italian, I have to say, from what I know, never mixup an Italian for a Sicilian. But that's what I learned from my grandfather who came from Milan opposed to my other grandfather who came from Catania. They weren't fond of each other.

But if you meant to say don't mix up Milianians with Sicilians, then I understand what you mean, which is what I guess you meant right? Its the same argument I brought up with North Americans vs. Italians. Brandon Treolo your grandfather probably was involved in the Sicilian independence movement which got some support straight after ww2 but most Sicilians are considered as Italians and consider themselves Italians although they do have some problems with those in north

In effetti mescolate a cose corrette si sentono pure un bel po' di sciocchezze. Una delle tante: i contadini di Sciacca che abiterebbero su un lato della strada e che si opporrebbero ai pescatori, abitanti dell'altro lato. Dunque a Sciacca o si è contadini, i quali "pensano di appartenere ad uno stadio avanzato" e "si sentono civilizzati" :-D, oppure si è pescatori, ancora nella fase di caccia-raccolta, e i matrimoni tra gli individui dei due diversi stadi evolutivi sono vietati! Tabù esogamico... :-D. Ma per carità! Magari qualcuno ci crede davvero... :-D. Mi viene da ridere...poveri saccensi... :-D
