Tthank you for nice test. I'm thinking to buy Iron Glass MK2 Helios 77M-4 50mm T2.1 for my Ronin 4D. What kind of camera did you use for test video? Thanx
I recommend to calibrate the monitor to Gamma 2.3 then you are in the sweet spot between broadcast and the computer world. Nobody recognizes the difference of a 0.1 Gamma step.
So you can get the DJI Focus Pro working without needing a gimbal as well? My main issue/frustration is my budget can handle getting the DJI focus Pro creator bundle, but I can't add a DJI RS4 in addition to that for now.
"Standard USB-C cables don't work" - Not true, I used 5meter cables all 10Gbps ones works, and only some 5Gbps. The only hard part is that the handle slots are narrow so not all cables will fit.
Once you are done calibrating the lg , do you have to import anything to resolve like a 3D out to make sure it’s perfect or the blackmagic device takes care of all of it?
Note that the 3G Monitor box is ONLY for Intel based Macs....NOT Apple Silicon(M1,M2,M3...). Took weeks for me to discover this. Bought a 4k PCIE card and installed inside a box made for 10G interent, that was lying around. Works awesome.
Not sure what you mean by not working with zooms.. So as the lidar expects a fixed focal length you are correct, however as long as you program at a set focal length you can use it, you just need to reprogram if you zoom. Alternatively the system does work without the lidar for cinema zooms if you want to control the zoom with the hand unit and you purchase additional motors
Big thanks for this video! I did put the lidar in the hotshoe, I really want to have my mic there tho, but I'll have to figure out some kind of workaround for everything. Its pretty sweet to have AF on my anamorphic lens now tho :)
Yes the motors ONLY can be connected to D-tap, however if you are using the LIDAR or HANDLE you CANNOT plug in the D-tap to the motor, lidar or handle or it will result in damage. ONLY use the D-tap when running the motors by themselves with the hand unit.. Use the handle battery when running the Lidar and NOT on a gimbal such as the RS4
@@wdigivideo are you sure? This not the case in this configuration. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vQIxfv7R4e0.htmlsi=PuvpelQbu-T4lrfm&t=785
@@grainfield77 Yes.. he is incorrect.. This is now a well documented problem with the Focus Pro.. The documentation from DJI explains this as well. the D-TAP is ONLY for the motor..
NO.. this is very very important.. You CANNOT use the D-tap cable to power the handle in ANY WAY.. This can only be plugged into the motors directly and ONLY when the motors are not controlled by the handle or lidar.. Using the D-tap with the lidar or handle connected will result in serious damage
I am unsure as we have not tested this. I would assume the handle and motors would work, but you are unable to buy the handle without the lidar and a motor so I would assume you would have the current Lidar in the package
This is common on Cine Mod lenses, as still lenses were never designed for video. This test was done with an EF Mounted Cinemod.. We also Carry these now in PL Rehoused by GL optics which solves this issue
Great Video! Thank you! Is there a reason not to use the "Calibrate Profiler" software which comes with the (X-Rite) Display Pro colorimeter instead of purchasing the Calman software? Both will be using the same colorimeter. Note that I'm a novice thinking of getting an LG C3 or C4 to use as my computer monitor so that I can use Davinci Resolve for editing and colour grading etc, and I already have the Calibrate (X-Rite) Display Pro colorimeter.
Calibrite uses the computer color science to calibrate your monitor. With Calman you can bypass your computer color science and only calibrate the monitor.
@@JaymesMedia Thanks for your reply. But my question is whether I would use Calman to calibrate my "computer monitor so that I can use Davinci Resolve for editing and colour grading etc"? I realise that you are calibrating the monitor to be a reference monitor, however for me the 42" screen is perfect for doing video editing with Davinci Resolve on it, but I also want it to be used for colour work. Your thoughts? And thanks in advance.
It´s probably due to the lighting conditions but your video shows a much more contrasty and appealing rendition to me from this lens than other outdoor videos where I don´t really think it's a contrasty lens at all. Nice.
Pls say this Along side lgcx oled hdr tv as secondary display to benq pd 2706u hdr Sri 99% and wide colour gamut monitor Can we get Hollywood range colours to my theater movie pls say
@TerrellPorterFilms , that was amazing!! Absolutely priceless. I need your advice about a issues that right now I have with 2 large clips (interview). I'm working on windows 10, and I assume there is some an unstable with large clips and windows, because the editor doesn't have the same issue and I use another Mac and runs well. But I'm finishing in windows. So, I was thinking, please correct me, if I use the Mac to export a Dnx with color space DWG. so, I will put the correct IDT - timeline DWG- and export without ODT yo DnX 10 bits. Expecting my windows recognize it and still working in my timeline DWG-, so, for this clips I don't to applies IDT. What do you think? any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
We always suggest following manufacturer suggestions. O'connor uses a very unique counter balance system (they have a patent on it) that no other manufacturer uses (caveat, some sachtler now use this as they are owned by the same company) so this suggestion would be specific to their design. Many other brands use a band style system and leaving that under load can cause issues in long term storage.
The Dulens APO mini primes are advertised as vintage with some halation. However, I've never heard halation used to refer to a lens quality, only the film effect. Is this refering to bloom around light sources? Do you feel that its similar to having a black mist filter on all the time? Looking at thsi footage, im not really seeing any of that. Unless im looking for the wrong thing.
Hello! I've relied on your video when making the decision to buy the Dulens. After watching your comparisons, I pulled the trigger and bought 3 (32, 43, and 85). So far, I love them, but I'm having an issue with noise. I seem to have a lot of noise when shooting video using my FX6 in Cine.EI. Regardless of the base, I know how to properly expose with the FX6. This problem seems to only happen when using the Dulens. Luckily, Neat video's plugin is able to fix this right up. Did you notice any significant noise in your footage? And I don't just mean in low-light situations. I get more noise well-lit/outside shots. Any advice would be grateful! Thank you for the videos!
What's your thoughts on Vespids vs Cooke S4i? An experienced DP told me that they cut really well together as in Vespids are extremely close optically to what Cooke does; even saw a commercial on the dzo page which intercuts with S4 shots. Do you agree with that? Apart from the octa bokeh, I see a lot of similarities, yet Cooke has an ever so slightly better feel - better micro contrast while keeping its soft look - to my eye.
Thanks for this! How would you said this compares to the Canon nFD 24mm f2.0? I've been thinking about getting either this one or the f2.0 version. For what I have seen the f2.0 always seems very soft, not in a good way, but haven't been able to test it side by side. Maybe is worth it? Any recommendations or tips I would be greatly appreciate it!
