Ok, I have 2 pigeons that I believe are paired up. The more aggressive one in which I thought was a male and actually mated with the other less aggressive one. Then another day, the other one in which I thought was a female was on top of the male and mated. Can anyone explain why the male laid down and let the other one mate? Each time that I saw them mate, it was a successful and complete mating ritual. The one that I thought was a female is a young bird. It always follow the call of the older bird. As of today they are looking for the right box to build a nest. The OB coos and hides and the YB comes looking. Thanks for any comments

Not a pigeon guy myself but my grandfather was. I like your videos, but it's pretty shameful that you don't clean the loft every day. Being too lazy to clean is just not right. You should take your responsability!
You know what you are so clever my guy you have nore knowledge then most fanciers from not feeding the naughty birds to eliminating the bad ones all spot on friend
haaa well my best way was to pat it on the ass and it liked it and wanted more and started making bucking calls but yeah the feet also stayed down but i think you can feel different bones in the pelvic area too not sure
Excellent work , however you should wear a dust mask at minimum , as pigeon droppings particulate matter can cause a lung disease called histoplasmosis
Staf Dusarduijn is probably the most famous dutch fancier of all time. 17 First Nationals on Bordeaux, Dax, Barcelona etc. Asked about his feeding methods he always explained: "Feeding pigeons is very easy. You buy a good mixture (not too many beans). Than you fill a can and then you feed it to your pigeons till one or two go to the drinking pot. Takes about 15 minutes." I have known Staf and he was not a person to lie about these things. His management of his pigeons was very simple because being a farmer in summer he had little time for his pigeons. Thing is: fanciers that are fanatics about feeding systems also are fanatic when it comes to the FUNDAMENTAL THINGS. They don't winn because of their feeding system but because of their fanatism.
ok so i need a little bit of help when i do the feet test they stay down but when i do the feet test one toe if bigger than the other i kinda need help...
