Let's go swim in the loomy gloom, but don't forget your floaties!
Deep dives into art and dissections of fiction are my jam. I'm also a perennial science aficionado, though I grew disenchanted with academia and dipped after snagging a BSc in Zoology. This channel has mainly been exploring animation that packs depth, but I’m keen to wade into whatever quenches my curiosity.
While my videos often discuss all-ages cartoons, my reviews/essays are created for an adult viewer’s perspective with literary analysis in mind. I don't shy away from mature topics, and I occasionally curse. Viewer discretion is advised.
Princess bubblegum has every right to act the way she does. She the only righteous monarch ever. She created the candy kingdom from a literal toxic wasteland. In the context of the still post apocalyptic world spying on neighbor kingdoms isn’t a bad thing. Is not a bad thing in any world really. Kingdoms are a consolidation of land and political power so monitoring other powers that can be a threat is essential. Also princesses bubblegum is the candy elemental which means she literally has the birthright to the candy kingdom.
The look of the Indominus disappointed me. I was trying to avoid spoilers, but they just plastered it's image onto Jurassic World themed paper plates that you would use for a kid's birthday. I was expecting an ugly, monsterous, Frankenstein, chimera, abomination but instead got a white T-rex with long arms that's smarter than the average dinosaur.

Oh no its more like änden is the end of school not the end of a room or smth if its the end of the world or smth like that we say slutet also end but its a difrense in sweden tho😅 5:15
BMO is capable, more capable then anyone thinks. Sweet Pea IS still alive, and has the reason to make such statues though. Finn, Jake and BMO could and is most likely attributed to both the survival of Ooo in general, and the redemption of Sweet Peas soul. So I think it's Ancient Pea who made those statues, while BMO literally oversaw everything as King of Ooo. The only reason I don't think it is BMOs idea is because of BMOs bad memory, BMO rewrites history constantly, he wouldn't be able to remember them so well. Sweet Pea is likely able to remember everything.
This episode blew me away when I watched it the first time immediately after watching the main series finale for the first time. Watching them together for the first time made everything very meaningful. The best takeaway I got was that Finn lived a very, very long life as he was a very old man when he died.
Man this is what Legendary started once they made the Godzilla sequels lol. I would have respected the reboot/sequels if they just went for a more realistic down to earth survival against extinct animals instead of an over the top animal rampage flick, we already have a lot of those XD. Nice job on your vid dude, I am a former Jurassic Park fan and seeing this made me feel great to see
IMHO The JW movies suck compared to the JP movies. Even JP3, the weakest of the JP movies is better than the best of the JW movies. Also I have a bearded vulture theropod design I was working on off and on for a D&D style campaign.
I legitimately believe that Gibbon wanted to eliminate pup powers so that everyone can lead normal lives. I think that a lot of pups got into power struggles over their powers, until Gibbon took up arms and brought peace between them all by extinguishing them. Like an X-Man situation where mutants wanted to be cured so they could blend in with society
30:14 i think it has to do with how ladys parents tried to eat Finn jake very much views finn as a brother but also like his child for he takes care of him n helps him with the big decisions in life, seeing your wife’s parents tried to eat someone you love might also make you think about how your wife might eat people you love and what bigger fear then your children
this episode reminds me of taking psychedelics and how they affect your memory and experience of the world. how you lose yourself in such feelings and abstractions of the world you exist within
In the earlier season Marceline was putting on a persona to protect her feelings. Her killing jake isn’t out of character because she didn’t view the animals as people in a way she kills animals even later in the show
The early Marceline in the beginning in the show was a persona she put on to protect her feelings. In the earlier seasons of the show Marceline has shown she doesn’t see the animals as people so her killing jake isn’t out of character plus people with trauma do thing they know they’re regret all the time
