I shifted from s20 to s21 , it was a great phone , I still miss the glass back , 1440p display, micro SD card slot , But ofc s21 is better , like if I use 120 hz , it will not remain at 120hz all the time unlike s20 , it is flat display and feel better , the cameras are better , the design is better , battery life is better , bcz it don't stuck at 120 hz all the time ,
I would choose the Pixel any day over this iPhone except… not really… What am I going to do with my Apple Watch? The Pixel Watch isn’t that great. What about my iPad? The Pixel Tablet isn’t nearly as powerful. What about my MacBook? Don’t expect me to switch to a Chromebook from a Mac! It’s not about the phone but about the ecosystem nowadays. The Pixel 8 might be better than the iPhone in many aspects but even being able to use an Apple Watch with the iPhone might make it worth it for people like me. It’s a better experience overall. But Google if you really give us 7 years of updates, that’s really a HUGE step in the right direction.
Camera software alone made me switch to Iphone (after 7 years of using Samsung flagships only). "We'll fix it with updates" lies and not being able to get decent pic of any moving subject (not great, decent) got me bored. I really can't imagine how someone, used to pretty reliable camera on Iphone, switches to Samsung that can't even get the basic things done. Vibration since S22 series has been pretty weak, speakers are not on the same level, Samsung devices don't hold their value pretty good...
Just swited back to an iphone from an andorid due to peer pressure, and the amount of simple features the iphone is missing is absolutely rediculou...🤦♂️
Your intro explanation of your 3Dprinting journey sounds exactly like mine. I've 4 previous printers, none of which were reliable to keep me in the hobby. Then I got the X1-C. It has completely changed my entire 3D Printing hobby.
I still have my GBA and while it IS fun to play Pokémon Emerald on the original hardware you can also just get some great emulators on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store right now on basically any smartphone
Nice review! Just being curious tho, is it comfortable to wear for people wearing glasses like you? I feel like it is an important point that is somewhat unnoticed
I recently bought the 2017 i7 model (16/512) in pristine condition in rose gold (374GBP). I know, a lot of money for an old machine that is essentially only powered for simple word processing, web browsing and email. Yet I absolutely adore it! Sure, it would not be suitable as one's main computer and is essentially a luxury item but I'm lucky enough to have a MBP 16 as my main rig. I also have a 2018 ipad pro with magic keyboard yet it is this macbook 12 that I now naturally reach for when it comes to any computing around the house that doesn't involve spread sheets or heavy photo editing, it's so lovely to use! Once the element of novelty started to wear off (I just couldn't stop marvelling at how beautifully machined, compact and gorgeous in the hand it is), it has proven to be a really useful device. I actually considered returning it after a few weeks as I simply thought perhaps it is just an needless accessory. But I just couldn't, and I'm so glad I stopped myself. The screen is gorgeous, the speakers are fantastic and it is just a great portably little computer. I'm currently away at a conference and I decided to leave my MBP at home and brought this for note taking (I use one note), emails and viewing content on an online streaming platform for the conference. It has been perfect. So light to carry around I've just slung it in an over the shoulder jute bag with a notebook and coffee cup, haven't even needed a backpack, which even for a current MBA I think you would need. This is more like an ipad with a keyboard (which I enjoy typing on by the way, it's nowhere near as bad as I feared!) which runs mac OS so has a real file management system. I basically run my files off Dropbox despite the 512 storage but have downloaded my entire music library amassed from over the years. I wasn't able to do that on my ipad (also 512 storage) and I just love knowing my music library is always with me, especially as this little speaker is just phenomenal! Sorry, long rant but I had to share how awesome I think this machine is! For 1749GBP new yes it was ridiculously priced. If they brought out an M version now for 999 and kept it simple, it would sell like hotcakes and I would be first in line. I have to disagree with your scoring: Design ***** Performance * Display **** Battery life **** Value *** Wow factor *****
Are you nuts!?!? You can buy an Xbox for cheaper than that! You can buy a cheaper android with a controller for cheaper and emulate! It’s definitely way too overpriced and not at all worth it.
Yes people, I know I pronounce "Mario" wrong. It's a regional dialect thing that I can't seem to break. Everyone from where I live pronounces it like that, it has to do with how we pronounce the "a" in certain words in general. Give me a break 🤣
Pixel actually sits flat and steady on a table. I really hate how my s24 wobbles when I try to read news with the morning coffee. Annoying design, actually. Then again ppl use cases/covers and this would be a solution. But why you need the pretty phone then?
Played and beat almost every mario game produced between 1999 and 2009. It's just a regional dialect thing, everyone from where I live calls it that. Has to do with how we pronounce "a"
