Had mine for 6 years, Sport glides are brilliant bikes, you might find you have the same problems as I have had and thats 1, the petrol tank cap rattles after a while and the speedo steams up. Nothing major but be aware as the cap rattles sounds like an engine problem, if you put your hand on the cap and the noise goes away, its the cap.
You will be lucky mate the antipodeans threw out imperial back in the seventies. I knew one Ozie back then who just used to call miles klicks , which use to really confuse people that had not twigged he was a moron.
Hey, probably not bad feedback cause I'm looking to build the channel a bit more now and it will give the videos more worldwide appeal. I need to think of the best way to do this and cover as many bases as I can without it being confusing, thanks for your nice comment, Alex
I bought my Hurricane in 1974, from Morre's of Totenham ( reg VLO 788M ) Had it for a year, & sold it, sooooooooooo much trouble, kept throwing the main bearing .. had to weld it in, in the end, i guess thats due to well ? hmm better not comment, it might stir up a lot of hassles from the purist's of you all out there.. Another thing, it kept burning out the points, & every 3000 miles required changing, went for a Boyer tranny ignition in the end, after that, no problem, placed an add in the exchange & mart.. my phone kept ringing, So many callers, sold it to a guy up in Derbyshire, Cost in 1974 was £799.00 .. What are they worth today .. I went up to London with some friends of mine, in 74, to Gus'Koons .. they had lots of parts of Hurricanes for sale, i seem to remember .. 2 Frames / several seat & tank units even a complete exhaust system, i settled for an original, Parts list manual ( still got it up in my loft.. ) i did hear the present owner still rides it.. Good for him .. Regards .. X X ,
😄I'm Japanese and I visited to Northport,North districts of Liverpool. And borrowed a Yamaha MT-10 from my British friend to ride and visited to "Bikers night" It was a little chilly but so nice landscapes!! (I remember which Yellow/Black colored RD125LC at that time...)
Awwwe I didn’t get to see the lean! Still, incredible. Those bikes were developed with soul, much respect for the post-war pioneers in two beautiful countries.
What could be more cool than being 82 and riding a fore and aft Douglas racer that's 16 years older than you. Really. I've wanted to ski and motorcycle when I turn 75 in 8 years but now that doesn't seem good enough. the whole visceral treat that is watching this guy and his ride , the period clothes and painted helmet, and that sound......
Not your typical Harley rider there but a chilled out cool dude nonetheless. Only problem seems to be a helmet ain’t gonna save your skin if you’re sliding down the road.
Yeah, sweat dries faster than road rash heals. Dress for the slide not the ride. Boots that cover the ankle bones, gloves, at least heavy jeans and a leather or armored textile riding jacket. Some would even say full face helmet.
Dedicated .....absolutely a wonderful troupe all pull together to put on a wonderfull show. Ken took my Daughter on the wall on the handlebars of his Indian ❤ a very proud Dad i was indeed watching at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Always a pleasure to visit the "Fox Wall" and get a fresh T - Shirt as well 👍😎👍 keep it going Gang you know who we are 👌😉🤩👌❤❤❤
