I teach voice lessons and I wish i knew of this song when I taught chorus for 25 years! Now my students sing it in their lessons and for recital, but the choral verion is just.... No words except PERFECTION. LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! Best Disney song
Thanks, I was trying to find one performance of this on RU-vid because I needed to know thing song by next week because of choir exams. The alto (or was it soprano 2?) parts did really well! Soprano was a tiny, tiny bit off key tho-
I sang this back in high school and I always got choked up at the same part, thinking of my friends who were struggling. “Keep holding on, you’ll make it. Here’s my hand so take it.” Now, years later this still brings me to tears. It was sweet to see them all holding hands too.
This is epic. Just recently found out about the passing of Helen Reddy from Pete’s Dragon so this really is beautiful to hear. This should have also been recorded in a studio without the coughing and voices as I would buy this In a heartbeat
This just popped up in my recommended and right at the middle of the song, I realized my choir was singing this same song in the same style. They sound so much better than we do though
Great song and okay performance. The sound from the recording isn’t the greatest. One thing I will say is that parents should make sure to not have children in the audience who can’t be trusted to stay quiet during these performances. Maybe that’s a certain age minimum or just knowing your own child but it is very rude to have a child yelling and blurting out like that.
This type of behavior is normal for a choir concert i know this because in my concerts i have heard kids cry and you really can’t control this it’s just a part of life.
Okay performance? Who asked your opinion? These kids I’m sure worked hard to get where they are in this recording, and have no need for you to bring them down by calling their performance “okay”
Underrated - hmm I wonder! I may have missed a trick here. I am trying to sort something out for building a musical bridge from Britain and Europe to New Zealand. I will throw a challenge to this school for this year's commencement concert. If they can tag " A candle on the water " from Pete's Dragon and hook in Pokarekare Ana from New Zealand. I think that it would be a most definate and adequate bridge of sympathy from the US to New Zealand. I will have a serious look at " A candle on the water" myself. The words I think - are appropriate. The start of the bridge from the U.S.
