That’s pretty awesome! I’ve been caving for more than 40 years and I’ve only seen a formation like that once before, I think in Indiana. Thanks for sharing!
Thank for the nice footage. Just wanted your opinion, is there enough to see, to spend a whole day there? Just trying to plan a trip and thought it might be a good resting spot. Thank u for your thoughts.
@@rustymay9896 there’s a place a few hours east of monument rocks called the chalk castle. It has a badlands area as well. if you do that, monument rocks, and little Jerusalem it’s would make for a pretty cool day.
With all the stairs. I won't be able to make it due to my arthritis and Lymphedema in both legs. ...I love Caves!!!....Thank You for letting me watch the video!!!
I was totally bummed today. Watched your video a few days ago, followed directions to the trailhead from AllTrails, and found nothing. I even stopped and asked two girls working at a nearby golf course for directions and one said she hiked the trails many years ago, but thinks they have now been closed. I hate it when they do that. 🙄 The area will probably be developed into some lame attraction and the joy of trail exploration in nature will be over. So glad you were able to experience it and if you go back, and sneak in, let me know and I'll join you guys! 🤗
I only live about an hour and 15 min away from the beautiful Letchworth State Park and never been there. I always thought that living a half hour away from Niagara Falls was better but now I see I’ve been very wrong. Your video is extremely helpful and made my fiancé and I decided that Letchworth Park will be were we honeymoon. Ty
Check out "The Tilley Treasure" about Missouri caves. I know a person that has actually seen the map kept in lock box. If you reverse it, it leads to another cave.
I grew up at Sequiota Park. That place was literally the backdrop of my childhood. I've never gotten past the point you went to in the little cave, but I was told growing up that if you went back there was a huge cathedral room further back. No clue if it was true, it's weirdly hard to find info on the caves online.
The Monegaw Springs - Roscoe Mo. area was the site where John and Jim Younger had a shootout in 1874 with Pinkerton agents. John and 2 agents were killed. One of the agents that died told his story before his death. The gunfight is depicted in the movie "The Long Riders" and seems to match up pretty well with the account from the wounded agent.
Cool ! it could be this, I just couldn’t tell cause footage is dark. but I remember the room with the waterfall being rather big and this didn’t look all that large. I hope this is it!
I’m looking for a cave at the end of a trail I visited when I was young. It has a big opening but as you walk to the back you have to army crawl a little way then it opens into a big open cavern with a waterfall pouring right from the middle of the room. And it’s beautiful I want to take my kids there but I can’t find exactly what cave it is. Do you know if this?
Hey thanks for posting this video went there today loves it! Also found the little “chimney cave” that has a big chunk of crystal all down one side of it.
