I'm Justin Niemi, I am a mountain biker from the East Bay Area. Most of my riding takes place in the greater Bay Area and Lake Tahoe. I have decided to transition from IG and FB to RU-vid in hope to create better content!
From this channel you should expect mainly GoPro POV videos. If you're brand new to the channel, a long time friend or seeking answers to MTB questions feel free to message me! I'm available on most platforms with Instagram being the most active.
Great little vid - so was it quiet descending? I didn’t like the transmission on my last one as it still seemed noisy/chain slap/rattle is this any better on the ht4?
Thanks Leighton! Been riding these tracks for over 5 seasons now, it definitely took 2-3 years to finally figure out how to ride the dirt 😂 I’m stoked you finally got up to the park and I hope you had an amazing time. N* is the best 🤘🏻
@@justin_niemi It was phenomenal. My nephew's and my skills skyrocketed. Going to be real boring riding our dinky trails up at Boggs. Keep up the good work!
Yikes! Sorry to hear about the tibial plateau fracture and I’m glad you’ve had a gravel bike to ride in the meantime time. The AM is a great bike I think you’ll love it 🤘🏻
Squirrely? I didn't see any animals. 😂🤣. Dam, 3 looked peddally as heck, 7 minutes to get to the goods. 1 looked peddally, but faster? 6 looked enjoyable up top and stage 3 bottom. Nice rip on 4. Good job bud.
@justin_niemi I drive a prius too, love the mpg on the prius. (PRIUS GANG) LOL.. I have two e-bike on my prius hitch, I'm afraid of that happening especially if I'm on the freeway.
You were hauling the mail! Only reason I got you is because I stayed upright 🤣 good racing with you dude and I was stoked to share the podium with ya. Good luck this weekend ✌🏻
I do like the addl range of the heckler, not sure I’m 💯 sold on it tho. Really curious to see if a new bullit drops and what will that look like. The bullit still sits in the top 5 of my favorite e-bikes.
Coaster's a great warm up and even a cool down run. Good rip on Boon, didn't look slow at all. Last run was long, but you sounded good breathing wise. Nice job. I like self encouragement. I talk to myself too.
Coaster is a great warm up I agree! Felt good to get the blood flowing and the body loosened up. Talking to yourself is a great way to keep that HR down and continue to make good decisions. Same thing with the rhythmic breathing, holding your breath happens sometimes when you’re pushing and it can make for some bad riding! Thanks dude ✌🏻
Such a mental game 🧠 in 2022 I spent a bunch of time on it and felt I had it down. 2 years later the ruts have gotten so much deeper and it just spooks me. Definitely should have spent more time practicing it.
Nice run! Carrying a lot of speed on start of River Styx 💪 In the race I felt like I'm hitting every single rock that I shouldn't be hitting, so hard to find smoothness there
It’s so tough! The top you just feel like you’re getting hung up on every Little Rock. That’s where clips & the ochain really shined, but even then didn’t feel great 🤣
Hope you finished well 👌🏻 dodge ridge really prepared me for those loosey goosey turns but they don’t have nearly as much support. Braking before and letting off thru is definitely the way to gain more traction, just gotta be careful with that front wheel.
Dude, the thumb nail!! knock that shit off. Bad turn at 8:15 throws off rythm for 8:30. Almost 14 minute run, holy crap. I don't think my old legs could do it. 2nd run looked mostly good 🙃🤣
Haha it’s click bait, I need the views! That turn ruined me, I think I was just starting to bonk. 😂 I’ve never ridden anything that long before so I know what I need to work on 🤘🏻 bummed about the mishap on Gypsy but man that was such a stellar run. I love that trail!
I think I've been doing the Woods wrong. I love the bottom half (below Tryumph) but I just can't get my head around the top half. The top of the trail seems way different on this video that what I remember from just last week or so; I thought there was a set of big rollers/single jumps at the beginning? Deer Path is horrible; that first turn with the row of rocks instead of a berm is ridiculous.
When you exit Vista make an immediate L and it’ll take you to the top of woods. I’m gonna assume you’re riding flameout, then connecting into woods because it starts with rollers into some loose berms. Deer Path was awful, but I’m glad they had an absolute burner of a stage, levels us all out in a way 👌🏻
I had the opportunity to ride the AM last year when Pivot had a demo ride in Cincinnati. I loved the bike that I rode. It’s a dream for me to get one and I believe I will eventually.
I think it’ll hold its value even with the new bikes coming out! That motor, battery size and weight are hard to beat. Pivot really knows how to spec it too, I wouldn’t change much straight out the box.
Yup, N* this weekend that’ll be the ultimate test. Ride 2 today felt great especially on the longer rock gardens at Skyline. Really think it’s gonna shine at N* on trails like boonies, sticks, etc.
