I dont have the willpower to do 90% of this game's grind, but the drive to experience seeing this game's rendition of the sol system carried me through my first few dozen hours of the game. Seeing Earth and the other planets for the first time, seeing all the constellations in the right spot and showing my friends in discord vc, crusing along the rings of saturn, showing my friends all the coolest moons in the system. All of it was such a unique experience no other game could provide. I likely am not returning to elite as it's made for people with far more tolerance for grind than myself, but that experience is one that I will forever thank this game for giving me. I legitimately teared up stunbling upon Voyager 1 and hearing the audio from the Golden Record.
Looks like you're running a Quest 2 as well. Could you share your settings and setup? As of a few weeks ago, performance over Quest Link for my Q2 is horrible for Elite. My PC is running a Ryzen 3700X and a GeForce 3060Ti, so that should be enough horsepower. Thanks!
Yeah the wireless with quest link sucks for me too, so I run Virtual Desktop on the Quest 2, and from there I run Steam VR, and then start up Elite Dangerous from within Steam VR. If I do it all in that order it works pretty seamlessly with a few rare freezes or buggy moments. *also I use the Quest Link Cable they used to sell. The 80 dollar one. It's a special USB C cable basically. There are aftermarket ones for less I think.
If you have the base game and also Odyssey DLC it allows for on foot missions at settlements. Things like sneaking in to steal data. You can also find ones where something like a crashed beacon will be on a planet surface and you find it, and break into it with the blow torch or by some other method and take what ever tech or data was inside. Odyssey also adds some exploration options where you can find and scan bioorganic life on planets. It's mostly bacteria, fungus, and plants, but it makes a lot of money if they are on faraway worlds. I am enjoying doing that lately. Once you learn how to scan planets, and look for points of interest before dropping down to surface, you can find a decent amount of random stuff. I find the planetary atmospheres really beautiful to look at, even when there's not anything to do in an area.
Yes, it changes the feel A LOT. Like playing on a normal screen is fun, but it doesn't really capture the scale of things like VR does. In VR you really get a sense of how HUGE some planets and suns are, and how far away everything is. If you don't have VR yet you can still get the game on Steam first, and when you do get VR it works on both. That's what I did! Steam has a built in VR app.
@antergonza6476 I have the Occulus Quest 2 (Now called META Quest 2). The Quest 3 would be better resolution and feels less heavy on the front of the face (from what I've read online). I am planning to get the Quest 3 eventually

at some today, i didnt find it really that hot, i thought since ghost peppers in this would be really hot but i was disappointed with the heat same with devil of fire ramen is not hot either, i found 3x spicy buldak is hotter, so out of the 3 i tried 3 x is the hottest, but this had a nice flavour

It sounds like you'll need to replace the screen. It isn't too hard to do (follow the video and it should be fairly easy). The screen is cheaper to replace than replacing the whole keyboard at least!
It was fairly high pop, usually 30 to 40, sometimes up to the max, and on slower days about 15 or 20. They wiped last Friday so I'm planning to try their Deer Isle map next!
I don't have experience with Logic Pro, but if they have any way you can insert VST's (as effects preferably) and also chain them in a specific order, then it would work. At the very least, see if you can insert them at all. They are considered "VST's" even though they are technically MIDI filters.

Thanks for the sub! Yeah, the MPK's are really good. They feel solid and hold up over time. The only thing that ever died on mine is the screen, which is easy to replace (I even have a video on how to do that if your screen ever malfunctions or dies!)
Bummer lol! I'm new to MIDI and Akai 49 is my first controller I bought today. I thought these presets were either soundbanks or patches. It appears they are presets for key-mapping only. Much to learn, I still have... It originally came with Live Lite and MPC Beats which are now free, yet I did get one software with it (AirXpand!2). Thanks for the video!
Yes, sadly their MPK controllers don't have built in sounds, but the free software is decent. There's tons of free software synths out there, and you can also dig around on the KVR audio website/forums for freeware. Some of it is older, but still great for being free.
@@WolfxxBite Great info, thanks! I started with LMMS and so far played around with Vital, synth1 and TAL-baseline with a lot of effects and samples. Also Cardinal synth, yet that's a massive challenge I feel. Resampling certain sounds (such as stacking and exporting a snare) has been fun. One step at a time! 🙂
I believe the rhythm MIDI is on channel 10, so you would just allow that channel when filtering all the channels. I am not sure about the chords. The Suzuki website has a PDF of the manual, and I think it has a list of all the MIDI channels in there, so you can find out which numbers to filter for to get what MIDI data you want. The timing of this video...I just started diving into midi with my q-chord and can't seem to find any solution to its issues... lo and behold, you upload this a month ago. Remarkable. Definitely post any Mac info you find, as I don't have one to test on currently. (I do have an iPad I might toy with though). I haven't been successful in Ableton, but I think you may also be able to run Reaper inside Ableton as a VST (not 100% sure on that), but that would be one option if you can't get Ableton to do what you need on it's own. (It has so many options it surely can, I just couldn't figure it out).
She isn't planning a big tour for 2024, possibly a couple of shows near the end of the year, but 2025 is when a large USA tour is planned. She wants to focus on finishing the new album in 2024.
Thank you so much. This is so helpful. I basically got rid of my qchord because of the lame sounds and seemingly unusable midi implementation. Do you happen to know if there is a hardware replacement for the two plugins you mentioned? I would like to use a q chord to control some of my hardware synths. Do you know if this is possible?
One way to do it would be to do the same method I did, with a MIDI interface that allows you to send the final MIDI back out of the computer and into your devices. There are some MIDI interfaces that have multiple ins and outs and should allow you to route things the way you need to, but it might be pretty complex to set up.
She said recently that she is planning a tour next year, but nothing is concrete yet. We should also get the new album next year, so that will be something to look forward to!

The best way to pair up with randoms is to approach them in spawn towns and use your mic. Make sure you're not holding a weapon and hit one of the emotes like F1 to wave. Many people will try to kill you, but eventually you'll find another noob that trusts you xD
